I will spend and have spent over 5k on one of my Bajas and the twin I have spent 5 even on that. It took me years to build them do to the cost so I got two for show and three to run. I do have thousands n my bashers but only a few haha. This is one expensive hobby but its cheaper that doin drugs and drinking! That part of my life done and resolved 21 years ago next month WHOOOOOOOOOO!

very well put joel, I think what some of the commenters who are saying , he cant drive it, whats the point ? etc just don't get it tbh, the whole point is that its something that's built by someone , they created something that's nuts cos that's what they wanted to do, I know arron and he's built some crazy stuff , if I remember right arrons 85 at bashfest was almost out of the box first run, when you build something like this you have to learn how to drive it, that's half the fun of the hobby, also part of the hobby is working out how your gonna build it and how your gonna get it to work, then go back and redo the whole thing to make it better, i'm the same , i'm currently on rebuild number four of my obr 57cc twin powered dragon hammer, new parts , lots of home made parts etc to make it better and faster, a mate of mine told me a twin in a dragon hammer would never work, so that was challenge accepted lol, well, the twin will work in the hammer , but its an ongoing thing, it can always be made to be a better car, or handle better etc etc, don't knock any big power builds till you've tried one, its loadsa fun ,

That’s a monster, my ALX 78cc, 71cc and 48cc are crazy fast! Those like me that own the OutLaw Hybrid know how to drive them which is excitingly not easy. Heck I can’t keep my front wheels down on my ALX 71cc Malossi HPI Baja so I’m thinking about putting it back into a hybrid?
@RCmaxxUK5 жыл бұрын
Moor Rc quite a lot of the guys I run with are either doing hybrid builds or getting the new outlaw kit. 2 of them I believe will be running this 85cc motor. Myself I also want to do a diy hybrid build. If I get the time. I am not a massive baja fan though.... so the hybrid is appealing.
@moorrc70865 жыл бұрын
RC Maxx UK well I have the OutLaw Hybrid, the first OCB hybrid and a DIY Hybrid (that I’m finishing up this week) along with a host of Losi 5ive t’s and HPI Baja’s 5b’s and T’, the OutLaw Hybrid although it’s ‘much heavier’ (mine is 54.3lbs) than a Baja the handling superior. Awesome vids keep up the good work...🏁

What a beast man with that power it would hard to drive
@SgtPickledic5 жыл бұрын
On a track this small, you don't want so grippy of tires. You want your tires to be able to slide.. Your clutch also needs adjusted its way to tight, you almost seem to have it half throttle before it engages. The only thing your truck is good for at the moment is a straight line.. I've raced 1/10 stadium trucks for 8 years and 1/5 for 3. Fun times!

been out of this game for around five years, but that is bonkers, most definitely a vanity project and fair play indeed, maybe the scale needs to change to quarter scale to truly get the best out of these big bore motors? after all the backbone to these amazing machines seems to be HPI baja or 5T's which lets be honest have been around for years. Time for a different quarter scale platform is required if these motors become the norm.

I didn't know Malossi made cylinder kits for RC, nice! Different front wheels and tires and a front stabiliser will probably make this monster easier to handle.
@Imperial_Wing11 ай бұрын
they don’t make them for rc, Alex takes the cylinders from high performance scooter cylinders (Malossi) which in this case it’s a liquid cooled cylinder and he makes a special crankcase platform to make it work on an rc car which is absolutely amazing🔥💥

@chriss82065 жыл бұрын
Sorry pal. I've raced on every size and surface track there is. Also had some insanely powerful vehicles. The trigger on your controller is variable speed for a reason. You're doing what's known as a throttle stabbing. I have a 1000hp viper and I can drive it in a parking garage without crashing in to every wall. Here are some tips. Set your brakes, when you let off the throttle to the neutral position brakes apply a bit. Next start going around the track as slow as possible without stopping. Then every 2 laps increases the speed a tiny bit. You can also set your throttle limiter. Basics of r.c racing should watch some videos on throttle and braking strategies.

I think driving the hybrid on that track would be like trying to drive a top fuel dragster on a NASCAR oval. It's only built for straight line not poor driving skill the car just isn't built for that kind of track.

Maybe a gyro on the steering would help, abit like the tsm on the traxxas's

Sure the track was too small.... but the track wasnt too restrictive.. could have drove wide and been respective to the size and dominated

wayneuk agsin mate. It’s not the point of this car. It’s meant for high speed passes and power wheelies etc... not turns particularly..👍. 5b losi or mcd pro max5 for the twisties for example. This 85 is for straight lines...😜 Though I agree. More weight up front could aid the steering possibly. If that’s what the owner wanted. 👍
