Let me know if you know a place to get good OEM leaf springs! Hope y'all are staying healthy during this time. Got out on a little drive to get out of the house and talk about the truck. Email: Audiovisualautos@gmail.com

I have a white 4x4 1986 that is very similar to yours. I have the 22re motor with fuel injection, but at 230k miles, it could use a refresh. I also have the wing vent windows which are great with no A/C. Brown interior with a blue bench seat and the bed was removed at some point and replaced with a well-build wooden flat deck with sides. I bought the truck to get firwood with and the 4x4 and flat deck are great for that, I also bought it because it's cool. You have a nice ride.

Very nice rig! Nothing better than keep a stock truck as it is! This could be turned into Marty Mcfly’s truck from Back to the Future movie! Drive safe. Stay safe. From the 🇵🇭. 348th subscriber!

Come on man, take the decal off…. This truck is so much cooler and original than any “TRD” model vehicle will be.

Ayyyy 😂 it looked good. Thought about the old TEQ sticker, but Mt hood looked a lot like the decal they sold one Amazon so 🤷🏼♂️

Beautiful truck my first drivers in HS and College were 88 and 91 models. I was dumb to sell them.

I found those very same Kmart fog lamps on eBay for my 1986 4runner. I knew to look for 'em from this video. :) Period correcto!

That’s awesome!

Love the fogs. I have cibie 175s on my truck, and Bosch profi 210s. The boschs are oem for ford, and the cibie’s came off an 80s e350 ambulance, so they are definitely period correct for my 88 and 86 haha. A nice light upgrade would be hella H4 housings. Look just like your H6054 housings, but allow removable H4 bulbs to insert. I’m sure there is also a headlight harness upgrade too, considering most older vehicles have the lights feeding off the headlight switch. Only downfall is the headlight housings are about $45 a piece. Not fun if they break, but they shouldn’t with the stone guards on the front of the lights.
@audiovisualautos4454 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I considered that upgrade for a while, but eventually went with the mid range sylvania bulbs. They work decent for the most part. When warming up she doesn’t like to run both the fogs and regular light though. I think it probably draws a bit too much when both are on at start. That’s cool you scored some lights off an old ambulance

Is the bench seating fixed position? Or can you move it forward? Awesome truck and wish I got to see it when I lived in Portland!
@audiovisualautos4452 жыл бұрын
Seat slides backwards and forewords as a whole. If the driver is short and the passenger is tall, you have a problem 😂

Which is more durable and long lasting Steel rims or Alloy?
@audiovisualautos4453 жыл бұрын
If you maintained the aluminum rims, probably those. They wouldn’t rust over time. Not my area though

Out of curiosity, how much does it weigh? The usual figures online seem overwhelmingly heavy for its size...
@audiovisualautos4453 ай бұрын
I think the closest number I found was around 3400lbs. It really was a pretty light truck. It was the front diff/drivetrain which was the real extra weight
