I wonder how many know that paulownia is grass and not a tree. That one is bigger than any I have seen here in America. A sudden scrap of memory surfaces, Paulownia wood is used to make bridal boxes(?) Where I once stumbled across that I have no idea.

Paulownia is grass! ! (ﾟ∀ﾟ) In Japanese, we write "桐", which means "same as tree". I didn't even think about why I wrote it like this, but when I looked it up, it was certainly grass. I learned a lot. thank you. (*^_^*) This tree is certainly big among paulownia trees.

桐は置いておくと黒くなっちゃうのでしょうか・・・ どんな材でも武骨な皮の下は滑らかな白っぽい肌が隠れていますが・・・ まっくろくろすけとはよくぞ言いましたねぇ（笑）トトロの森で採れたのかしら・・・ へそは知らなかったぁ・・・貴重な心材が取れませんねぇ・・・トトロの呪縛かも ほほほのほ

製材後の用途はひょっとして琴だったり、ないか。

確かに、桐は琴や琵琶の材料としても使われますね。 この桐はまだ用途は決まっていませんが、そんな素敵な製品に繋がるといいな♪(*^_^*)
