Hierophant could have rolled for evade when he was overrun into. A overrun is a pursuit move.

Note that if your longbeards have full command, the command group must be as close to the center of the fighting rank as possible (and the banner the most centered). That's in the rules page 198. A character must not displace the command group (page 207) so it needs to be on a side of the command group. Thus your king cannot be placed where you put it (unless he has a rule I am not aware of), he shall be on the side of the unit (columns 1&2 or 5&6), a regular longbeard must be on column 1 or 6, and the banner must be in column 3 or 4. You did it correctly with the thane in the ironbreakers :)
