Nice!! I’m a big fan of 8Bitdo products, and have a few of their controllers. Also a big arcade enthusiast , and lifelong Street Fighter fan, so may just be tempted with one of these. Great video 👍🏻

It's definitely a fun arcade stick! I wish it played on Xbox/PS4 too, but I'm excited to get it working with my Pi 4.

Nice :) I have myself a MadCatz TE2+ also for the Pi when I bought it, now I really love it for my fighting games on my pc.

@@EmperorStorky damn that too bad, I had to switch my regular 8bitdo to an Xbox configuration in controller settings to get it to work on steam. I figured since this was newer it would be more compatible.

Very cool! I am looking forward to getting one of these, as they announced, but unfortunately in Brazil, 1 dollar is 5.5 the Brazilian real. So, it's expensive, but I'll buy one sometime.

Bought this for the Steam Deck today, worth every dollar! Works fluid. Final Fight never been this fun on a D-Pad. Now I'm just looking for Light Gun options to run some Virtual Cop

I just picked up this used like new off eBay for $55 shipped. The build quality is nice enough that I don't feel the need to upgrade it. I mainly use it with my Analogue Pocket Dock in 2.4ghz mode man what a difference playing arcade classics with a Arcade Stick.

How is your overall experience playing classic arcade games on the rp4 and the 8bitdo arcade stick lagg wise? Great review btw.

I would like to understand how to set it up in Recalbox (Raspberry Pi) On the Arcade Stick, how should I position the 2 "main" buttons (top left)? 1) switch mode: switch / off/ X-input? (obviously to switch off the stick, you must position this button on "off") 2) control stick switch: left-stick - d-pad - right-stick (I have absolutely no idea what this is all about) And in Recalbox, how do you configure this stick? (I know the "joysticks" and "configure a joystick" menu, but then?)

TBH, I haven't tried it yet, but since you can use your Xbox controller with retroarch and android, and the arcade stick works in Xinput mode, it stands to reason that the arcade stick must be compatible.

I purchased one of these and I can’t figure out how to close the game to go back to my menu with raspberry pi4 None of the buttons would take me back to the main menu. If you know, how could you let me know thank you. Awesome video.

@@RetroGameCorps RGC, can i ask if you use Batocera on the RG351P , can you create a wired connection to the laptop or pc, rather than wireless to make the transfer of data quicker?

@@jasonshiers5771 as far as I know you cannot use USB transfer at all on this device, something to do with the USB port itself. I haven’t seen any unique option for that in Batocera...

Yes, you should be able to connect more than one, just like any other controller.

Hi. Sorry to bother you, but I’ve had serious problems with my 351P after updating to 351-Elec using your guides. None of the games have sound now, and I can’t use the controls after loading a rom. Just to be clear, I don’t think I’m entitled to any help from you. I would really appreciate hearing if this is semi-common issues though. Just to be clear, I used the flashing an image method and reinstalled my backed up games, and I was on stock emu-Elec before the update. Thanks, Wren =3

this may be a long shot, but try asking in the reddit sections of the 351P Or some facebook groups, you may not be the only one with the issue.. and good luck mate.

@@nach0x I’ve posted in SBC gaming and r/RG351. No response yet, but I think it’s my best bet. I think it was worth a shot with the guy that runs this channel though. He had just posted and there weren’t a ton of comments, so I was hoping he would see it.

Hey Wren, did you unzip the img file before flashing? It can cause issues if you don't. That's the only thing I can think of, this is a weird case. I would also recommend checking out the 351ELEC discord server, they have a tech support channel and there are a lot of really helpful/responsive folks on there. It probably works with Bluetooth mode, but I prefer to use the 2.4GHz dongle to reduce lag. Bluetooth lag isn’t really a thing any more, but I have flashbacks from using it 10 years ago :)

he says analog stick but I believe the joystick on the 8bitdo arcade stick uses digital switches and no analog input

Sorry to hear that. On the bright side, you have easy access to poutine, ketchup flavored potato chips, and milk in a bag! All those things are impossible to find in the States. :D

Unfortunately it won’t work on PS4 or Xbox. My plan is to use it for a Raspberry Pi 4 running classic arcade games.

For anyone who is wondering whether this work with super console x pro, yes it worked with one exception, you need 8bitdo bluetooth wireless adapter and go switch mode..i already tested it and worked, hope it helps

game linq is the solution with 8bitdo device works on PS4. maybe on.... I don't know

Unfortunately I don’t think Game Linq will work, it requires a D-Input or Android signal mode, and this device doesn’t have it.

Yeah but it's a lot of fun, and it was a Christmas present. In our house we consider gifts to be things that you wouldn't normally buy for yourself, and so in this case it fit :)

@@retrogamingindo4238 Thank you very much for that information! Would also the other USB Wired/Wireless Arcade sticks work? Like PXN-0082 - Arcade Stick , MAYFLASH ARCADE STICK F300 and its other series, QANBA Q1W Does the Mayflash Magic-NS would help those arcade sticks to work?
