Just pre-ordered one! Thank you for the review, this is pretty much what I was looking for as a fun alternative to my ps4/ps3/pc qanba obsidian! I can cover switch too and have a lighter stick to pull out for a quick session :-)

I got this last week but haven't used it yet. My SF Anniv for switch arrived today and also just got done setting up windows on my Mac via bootcamp to start trying PC gaming. Planning to use this stick on both platforms

Thanks for the awesome review. I wanted a fun stick for mostly switch shmups and beat em ups and this guy is hitting all the right notes. Will probably mod it tho haha. Want my JLF joystick!.

Its actually their 3rd stick. The famicom lookin stick was not the same as the n30 stick and had different firmware.

The N30 used standard Phillips head screws on the bottom plate. Imagine my surprise when I looked in the screw wells of this one! LOL Thank you for letting us know what we need to open this thing up! This should've been mentioned somewhere on their site or on the pamphlet. Even though I invested in an iFixit kit, they should've included a T10 bit for ease of modding for those who haven't. At least these screws have a lower chance of stripping. I was REALLY hoping for a 5-pin joystick swap this time. On the N30, I had to snip and convert the wires to fast connects before I could put in a Seimitsu LS-32. It still works great today but it sucks that I may have to do it again for this stick unless I can find a harness. 😒 Thank you for this video. It saved me some time. It's a great stick but will definitely need a button swap as I'm fudging my Magneto infinites and Tekken multi grabs. At least that part's easy! LOL

I'm really impressed with this fight stick especially comparing it to the hori stick on the switch.

I would install a sanwa JLF lever with either a ball-top or a bat-top on it, an eight-way restrictor plate and hayabusa buttons into the 8bitdo PC/Switch arcade stick controller.

Thanks for the review, only TWO THINGS I want to highlight: 1.) You won’t need the adapter for wireless connectivity on the Switch but probably also Raspberry Pi or any Bluetooth compatible Mac/PC. 2.) You very, extremely likely didn’t turn on Data over USB through the Nintendo Switch settings. Let me know if you still feel latency issues after toggling the ’Pro Controller input over USB’ setting on! Overall, wonderful review!

I tried to install two 24mm Gamer Finger buttons but there screw-on buttons and the circuit board is the way.

I'm new to sticks, would I need to modify the restrictor plate on this to play arcade games with precision? I have a pretty vast retro collection on my switch alongside with the SF anniversary, DBZ and Blazblue as well. I wanna get one or two of these that I can use for all my games.

I can't speak for their N30 stick, or whatever it's called, but their SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro+, and M30 all use torx screws. I feel that anyone wanting to mod it, especially people who mod sticks anyways. I haven't had a stick since the 360 era, and all my sticks were fairly cheap, like madcatz or ones you got in gamestop back then(I know they carry better stuff now but not quite back then), I don't remember being high quality, and this is easiest the highest quality stick I've had by far obviously, and it feels so great. If you really want to, just replace the buttons, switches, sticks, etc... It's moddable, and quite easily at that. I've seen some teardowns of other sticks in this price range and they're not as easy as this. You also didn't mention the changing between Switch and Xbox button layouts(the AB and XY are flipped, as well as different bumper/trigger names) on it, which looks amazing. I'll probably upgrade the innards in time as I learn more, but all these features are amazing and not stuff you find on many other fight sticks, especially not in the price range. I can't even think of expensive ones that have all these features, or even several of the ones it has even as some are more unique in the fight stick world.

That's the same box I got, I don't think it has Sanwa parts either but this person that reviewed got a box with a Sanwa stamp or something on his box (I don't know what it means though) ? Maybe South Korea got Sanwa parts? EDIT: Looks like SK got to choose to have Sanwa parts for additional $70+ on some online shops.

Changing the stick will require some soldering. It doesn't have the quick connect.

i changed the buttons to original sanwas and they feel exactly the same lol

I bought one and you don't need the dongle for the switch. It is optional and it runs better without the dongle when playing the switch wirelessly.

I would of like if you could also used it on xbox and PlayStation
