I got a message from a lady asking for help on her lawn. She told my that from the heat wave that we had, she didn't have a lot of grass. But, the weeds were completely taking over! I showed up and could barely even get in her backyard because there were 8ft weeds right in front of the gate. I got everything cleaned up nicely and even found a sidewalk hidden in the backyard!

OMG...... My heart just sunk. I moved out of this home in 2002. I had done a good amount of work in the yard and especially the front. I left it for my sister and niece but she could never care for it. She passed away 4 year's ago come March. I don't know if I want to cry or smile. We all miss my big sister so much. TY for doing this ❣️

Hi ! I'm the current home owner! How insane to find someone who use to live here ! We haven't lived here long. First house we've ever bought and Spencer really helped us out ! We've found all kinds of strange and cool things in this backyard and always say I wish I knew what, why or how on the things i find lol It's in much better shape now and will be getting a great revamp come spring !

@@kaseywalts4262 hi! It was in decent shape when I moved. My sister and niece stayed and I moved to Florida. I'm sure the neighbor on the north side can tell you a lot about my sister. She was a mess 😉 That's why I moved. I saw the market pictures and they did such a beautiful job. I had so many plans and dreams for that house. I sure hope it brings you a ton of good and happy memories ❣️

@@jackie9834 I have definitely heard stories from them on what it looked like before it was renovated. It is a beautiful house now. The backyard was a mess when we bought it (worse than this video). I got it cleaned up and started a little garden. I found giant rocks in all the flower beds, tarps buried in the yard, random bags buried, old garden shovels buried, railroad ties, a giant clothes line, tons of lava rocks everywhere, trash, cans and toys. I'm sure I'll continue to find more as I get grass going in the spring. I used to live in Florida ! When you lived here was there a garage ? It seems like the current entryway/living room was once a garage. I can see where the old door way into kitchen was covered up.
@jackie9834
@jackie9834 Жыл бұрын
@@kaseywalts4262 no..... The garage had already been converted. It was all open when you walked in the front door. You would turn to the right and stepped up into the kitchen. The rock wall was also open. It to had a step up. The fireplace room had a open wall looking into the dining room/living room. You stepped down into that room. My sister became a Horder. I didn't see the house when she passed but the kids sent me pictures. What a mess. I noticed the back fence has fallen down. Be careful because that area was full of poison ivy. I signed a quick clam about 4 year's after I moved and my sister was supposed to get it refinanced in her own name but never did so I was stuck with the loan but no rights to the house. When I moved to Florida she started having a leak in the old garage roof area. I sent a roofer to look and get an estimate so we could get it repaired but she ran them off! That was the only section of the roof that was a concern. It was a flat roof and who ever roofed it last didn't do it correctly so hopefully they fixed it prior to selling. My sister had a lot of problems with the pipes leading from the house to the street. I think they were all broken because she would spend hours trying to get it cleaned from root's. Hopefully that's been fixed also. Like I stated...... I tried sending worker's out but she was a mess and ran them off.

This would really be a good youth group type thing. We have a guy in my town that takes on teens and this is the type of thing they do. Good learning experience for them and it gives them something to do to stay off the streets. A lot of the homeowners then pay what they can so the kids end up with a little spending money. Win win all around.

Hi Spencer Another great job I think it would be nice if there was a community of tradesmen like lawn care, carpentry, painting , etc That worked together helping people like you do. Since you've done this lady's lawn care, you would be able to reach out to someone on the team that does carpentry that could put the back fence together again. We need more givers in our world instead of grabbers. May great success come your way so you can help more people Stay healthy and safe

I personally was a carpenter during the flood of 1993 in Iowa. I was featured in the news as a Good Samaritan for my work I did replacing floors in flooded mobile homes. I only charged the owner for flooring materials. I put out a challenge to all trades to help on the local news. I spent a lot of my time and sweat to help people in need. I also was a call for need for a Domestic Abuse Shelter for women. I respect what you are doing. Contact a local apprenticeship programs of all trades to see if they can help.

I absolutely agree, it would completely finish, (ALMOST), the entire venture and would also give the property owner an idea about if he could salvage the property ( and the average cost ) or if he should simply tear down the house because it's beyond repair. A go start me page might be a good way to get started. This man is an utter, unselfish, generous, conciencious, gift to humanity. May the good LORD watch over and protect him and his family. I know how much help like this can be. My father is 80 and very sick, his wife is 76 and can barely walk, the 3 family members that could help are each sick with very serious diseases that put them in and out of the hospital and I live 3 hours away and take care of my 80 mother so I don't get there often to help. With all those health issues yardwork is very hard for anyone to get done.

Great job as usual. Never disappoint. I watched you and the lady and the guy with the beard Collab to the house in the hood. Impressed as always. I think his name is Shane but very admirable for he to want to give one of the new lawn mowers to the oh so very nice gentleman that stopped by to let him use his mower. I felt blessings were all being given and received, and you all wanted to make the neighborhood look better and that gentleman got a very much unexpected blessing which he stopped by to be a part of the blessing for the home improvement. God is so good. You just cannot make this stuff up and we the viewers feel the love and compassion be transmitted. Need I say more. Oh, just had a thought. I live in a townhome, and I have a very small yard about the size of your truck with grass. No Joke. Well, our HOA is never johnny on the spot and I need to save up to get me a dependable handheld cordless hedge/grass trimmer so I can manually trim my grass. Being retired and bad knees, I sit down in the grass and used an old longer hedge Bauer, I believe from tractor supply, and it was cheap, but I probably had that for about 4 or 5 years but finally bit the dust. OK. so, what kind would you recommend that would be suitable and somewhat reasonable priced. I have for almost 20 years always tried to maintain my small yard, trimming my bushes, grass seed, some weed control and good fertilizer and with shame came across some information as to why my grass started dying in places leaving the bare dirt. Over watering by me. Sitting out and basically flooding that area and I mean where it would be soggy, and it was my doings. After educating myself and yes, using a tuna can help measure the amount of water the grass needed and 2 to 3 times a week for a very fast moment would do it and it did. I was very much surprised and happy to show off my small, tiny yard. Years ago, me and the weedwhacker with the line did not see eye to eyes and I kept scalping my lawn that my neighbors were laughing so I gave that thing to a coworker for his use at his large yard. Anyway, if you have time just shoot me some suggestions and God Bless all you and again thank you for taking us along for the ride. It is so addicting and enjoyable. Jeff North Carolina

Another nice transformation, Spencer! Looks so good, plus the sidewalk. I agree with some of the comments here regarding some carpenters that could get together and do some much needed home repairs for the elderly. Perhaps get lumberyards to donate some fencing, lumber, nails and screws, windows, etc. Wouldn't that be wonderful for those who cannot do repairs to homes and fences like that! I'm sure it would be much appreciated by our elderly and would give wonderful feelings to those who generously donated items and those who donated their time! God Bless!

I truly appreciate what you are doing for the neighborhoods. May I suggest maybe attaching a bag to your mower to contain the dirt and grass.
