2 жыл бұрынThis is a job I did for free for a local military serviceman. I came across this house while mowing the neighbors when I noticed how overgrown the grass was on the curb and the sidewalk. I knocked on the door and offered to do it for free for the homeowner.

Spencer…you are poetry in motion! I was amazed that you said the edging took well over 4 hours! That is quite impressive and just knowing how much video you edit out….makes me even more impressed! I believe I've heard you mention before how you're a perfectionist when it comes to lawn maintenance, and it's evident in the work you do. Adding pressure washing to the pavement would be the icing on the cake.

I'm a 73 year old DIY lady. I love working in my yard and I watch your videos from beginning to end. I admire your work. Every time I think, "Oh he should get that weed or those dead branches!" You come back and take care of it. We garden lovers think alike! God bless you. Every time I see an overgrown yard I wish I could help those folks as I know that something is keeping them from doing it. I love you for what you do! You have earned your spot in heaven! Always your fan! And you are in my prayers! I send you energy and good health to the end of your days! You have inspired me. Maybe I will think of a similar way to help some other folks like you are. you can combat poison ivy with immediately washing clothing, shoes, and your entire body in dawn dish soap with cold cold water. Awesome of you to save the worms!

@@SBMowing ouch! Ive had 2 bad reactions in 10 years. Once was a mix of sumac, and ivy...I had to get a sterioid shot & on a zpack with cortizone cream for weeks. luckily its about to get chilly, so less likely to come in contact with it for a long while.

No, the pressure washing of the curb is not necessary. A nice storm will take care of it now you got it cleaned up so water can flow…. Spencer, great job as usual!! But you need to find a longer handle for that spade. Your back with thank you 40 years from now!!

No need to power wash the gutter, save your energy for someone's house or deck or something. Gutter will clean itself. This was a really great job you did, very impressive!

Cleaning up the gutter and doing edging sure made it look nice. Power washing is interesting, sometimes we can't see how actually dirty something is until after it is washed. Good you refound the front walk. Sometimes those get lost in just getting out of a car on a driveway. The finish...that is really nicely done.

I live in a neighborhood with an Association, and yes they do have workers clean around the neighborhood, but it is up to the individual to maintain their yard and property. I have a lot of respect for people that do this for living. And until I owned my own home, I didn't know anything about mowing lawn, and trimming trees, and getting someone to clean my yard costs money, so I do it myself. To make a long story short, I've learned a lot from these videos, and I just bought my first lawn mower, and hand held trimmer, and a pressure washer. So thank you, and keep doing what you're doing for people.

Spencer, I grew up in Southern IN. My brother gets poison ivy but not like he used to. After his first bout with it (the kid almost had to be hospitalized), he began to take a series of allergy shots each spring in March. He's a grandfather now, but even though he still gets it, it's not as bad as that first time. Wanted to offer up a possible helpful hint for you. Keep up the GREAT work.

Why do you choose to do sections of the job with each tool and repeat, rather than doing all the edging, shoveling, blowing etc..

I like it. Each section is done then move on. It probably breaks up the work. I think it makes filming easier, he doesn't have to move the camera as much.

Gives different sets of muscles a bit of a rest, so improves longevity for the whole job - at least that's why I rotate tasks as I go
