It took me a couple goes of re-watching to spot what you meant because at 2:10 you can defo see they they wearing the correct turnout coats but I then on my third rewatch caught what u must have! That at 2:00 you can defo see "Buckley" on the back of the coat when the guy was currently searching Eddie's pocket. Probably a goof but like you I'm saying it's intentional for the sake of Buddie ahaha

Wishful thinking, it's just an editing goof. Unless the editor is a Buddie fan and did it intentionally, but odds are a clip just got mislabeled and it wasn't caught in the final run through.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed this at the end of the episode. Taylor seemed to be more concerned about the prisoner father and his son rather than her own boyfriend and his best friend who were held hostage. Like Buck just got home and she immediately began interviewing him. I feel like she's just using Buck for the stories. Even if she isn't, they should know to separate work from personal lives and never mix them together.

@@summerhope4419 I don't think she's necessarily using him for a story, I think she truly does like Buck but I think she CANT separate work from personal life, like you said. I think thats how their relationship will end. She's gonna take the personal info Buck tells her and turn it into a story.

Yeah it was just a screw up in editing, they used a close up from when they searched Buck by mistake. In the Wide shot you can see his jacket says Diaz.

Eddie only had Christopher in his mind. The guy went through all of that for his son, and Eddie couldn't stop thinking about his own son. That was made obvious as the first thing he did when he got home was hug Christopher

Because he's smart? What was the point in acting up knowing that he'd just get hurt the same way Buck did.

Eddie is a soldier and knows how to control his emotions and keep cool under pressure. Charging at the prisoners like Buck (who is more impulsive and tends to go with his heart rather than his head) would've done no good. He needed to play along until he could figure out a plan.
