Description of Ford Mustang taken from Wikipedia "The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by the Ford Motor Company from April 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang’s styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators. It was initially introduced as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale the following year. At the time of its introduction, the Mustang, sharing its underpinnings with the Falcon, was slotted into a compact car segment.”

Great memories! I still have my first and third cars (both 1970 Mustangs). These cars were not the best but they had a "soul" and character - The Mustangs brought back the fun in buying a car for the younger generation. Ciao, L

My parents got a early 65 Mustang, coupe in Palomino gold, the ones built before 1965 used a 260 V8, which this car had, It was a nice car. It had those nice looking wire wheel hubcaps that Ford made with the knockoffs, it was one of the better looking early Mustangs. When they bought it , the Fastback was not yet out

This is true: Professionals DID NOT buy Mustangs. The professionals bought Cadillacs, Lincoln's, Buicks. My dad was a professional. Always Caddy's. More blue collar, southern and west coast people bought the sports cars. I wish my dad would have bought a Chevelle SS etc.
