Oh my god. I’ve fished Kensico for 4 years now. I’ve never caught or seen anyone catch a brown that big! Good job man. Fan of the channel, just started getting more serious with my KZfaq this summer as well! You’ve found yourself a sub! 👍🏼

you need a DEP ACESS PERMIT and fhen just ur standard freshwater lake license. This is in NY.

your standing on one of the two boats I have in that res. I been fishing their about 35 years. That res has large browns, that's an overfished area tho. I have pulled 17-18 pound browns out of their. Theirs a spot that the real big ones stay resident and don't really travel much. I have a few photos of an 18 I got a few years ago on my Facebook. But it's a few hours of parking and hiking to get to the good spots

And, if I may ask, where are the good spots where the 17-18 pounds are? I have a boat at area 13 (Rye Lake) anywhere near there?

@@mitangot1599 pull up to the dam at night , right against the dam, no lights , gotta be super stealth or go to jail. the out flow pipes are another real good spot, same deal but theyll just make u leave wont lock u up, fish damn near in the pipe

@@ScottSchurprod you can't row your boat up to the dam anymore or into the lagoon where the outflow pipes are at the opposite end from the dam in Valhalla, it's posted property for DEP, it has to do will 9/11 . I mean if they catch you at least you'll make the local news lol. That lagoon holds browns over 12lbs easy big fat football torpedos that chill in the pipes that let the cold Catskills water flow into kensico from an underground system

This is an old diawa samurai rod and the reel is a shimano sienna

Umm wow. Awesome fish!! But i'm near certain thats the very same brown i seen another guy catch in a youtube video in late january of 2022 pretty much in the same spot just towards the left side of the bridge. But at that time it was all spawn colors. Hope you get it mounted. Trophy!

Second 9+pound brown trout I’ve caught this year at Kensico, and I’ve seen quite a few more follow my lure, they’re not that uncommon you just have to know when to fish and what to use….and put in lots of time
