Just as a clarification, Power packs & the exact amount of bolts they can fire kind of changed from EU to Canon, and even then each specific blaster rifles capacity isn't available or stated for most weapons to my knowledge, so I hope I explained it in a clear way. To put it in perspective, 500 rounds is as much or more ammunition than most modern soldiers carry, an all of that in a single cartridge.

I dont mind the overheating, it makes the game feel more unique, but I just wished they gave us a reload animation after we've managed to overhead our blasters a few times. Just because reloading is so cool. Kind of like a small reward for not dying so quickly and managing to shoot off a lot of bolts.

The overheating definitely fits in with how Star Wars blasters work, but the reloading was also nostalgic for me and I'm glad at least Krennic's pistol and the Clone Commando's DC-17M have reloads.

Finishing a lightsaber combo with a kick in BFII is the best feeling

1:40 true but technically the stormtroopers have black leather holsters in ep.4 and the clones can attach their blasters to their belts as seen in the citadel arc

BF2 ended focusing more on special units and heroes as a result normal infantry game play suffered a lot, the lack of weapon variety for the normal infantry compared to 2015 was a major step down, but i understand that as a causality of limited Dev resources and the player base at large wanted that direction. Still it it doesn't mean I'm not disappointed.

I loved the overheat system and it made the DT-29 (my favorite weapon in Battlefront 2015) feel so unique. Plus it made the Clone Commandos nostalgiac for those who played Republic Commando.

The droid waving his hand from being overheated is kind of funny, I don't know the lore if droids can "feel pain" like that. But it would be sick if he just kept grabbing it and the droids hand would get red hot eventually. makes sense for gameplay though the waving hand is a good visual indicator for the player

Battlefront 1 reboot was one of my favorite games, its a shame no one plays it anymore

I wish we had the sniper mode for the Commando's DC-17m in the reboot. It probably would have to be a replacement for their Anti-Armor attachment. Maybe a card for all Enforcers that alters one of their abilities.

I know that it's a balance decision or laziness, but it irks me when you play as a droid and you shake your hand because the blaster overheats. In the lore the E-5 blaster rifle was prone to overheat, but the Separatists didn't bother improving the design specifically because it was used almost exclusively by droids, who didn't care about overheating weapons.

It's sad but funny too that when u showed the han solos shoulder rush ability the stormtrooper didn't get knocked cause of a bug in the singleplayer.

In BF2 the assault class gets a secondary ‘flash blaster’ and sniper class gets a slow shooting secondary that causes damage over time. I’m pretty sure these just reloaded instead of doing cool down timer

I will say for the whole characters don't have spots for weapons clones and stormtroopers both hold weapons on their belts. They have droids. Could put them on the backpack and rebels are easy And for good example of Stormtroopers and accessories, They have a small little black holster that holds the E11

In bf2, the sniper class has an ability where u can switch between a pistol and ur sniper with no timer or cooldown

I personally never liked the overheating too much, i mean its not bad, but you never see it in any of the films or shows (from what I remember) and i kinda just wished they went with at-least the smaller weapons, like the DC-15 weapons and the E-11 because they do have “magazines” (or battery/power packs, etc) and I distinctly remember a ep in the clone wars where rex and cody were taking out magazines/batteries of the DC-15As (Which you showed the CW clip i meant in the video)

I do remember the pistols and some other weapons (like the chaingun) in the og games It did say in the wiki that Magnaguards should've had their electro staves

yeah not every fan knows that blasters need to reload i didn't to know that to until i saw some Squad Galactic Contention mod videos where blaster reloading is a thing so if you want that and more check it out

ive never saw that u can do that in the remake i knew that u could done that in Battlefront 2 but not in the remake even that the weapon reload animation in the remake looks more awesome then in battlefront 2

I prefer the reload animations and wish we saw more of them. But I don't think overheating is bad, in fact I think both could be used simultaneously in games.

Actually there’s like 2 side arms for 2 of the classes that you can swap to as far as I know There’s the flash pistol for the assault where every shot is basically a flash and does minimal damage And the stinger pistol for the specialist which also does small amounts of damage but slowly whittles down an opponents health hence the “stinger” part of the name And while I think the flash pistol is relatively useless considering the change to how flash grenades work, the stinger pistol can be very handy if you whiff your shots My setup for the specialist is the IQ-11 sniper, killstreak infiltrator card, stinger pistol, and the personal shield I’ve been struggling for awhile to find a sniper that feels great for me because they all feel semi awkward to use (probably because I don’t play sniper all that often) but if not the IQ-11 definitely the A280-CFE

I've got to hard disagree with the overheating vs reloading thing because in the OG bf1 / bf2 they reloaded their weapons and (i believe) it's shown and said in early clone wars tv show to make sure the clones have a fresh mag in. I'm not hating on the video just feels like a lazy reason from devs/disney

Idk they should’ve made the clone weapons reload more. There’s something so iconic about slapping a fresh baster pack into your DC. That’s an iconic phrase in so many legends books used by the clones be it grunt, Commando, or ARC.

Melee attacks were planned for the classic Battlefronts too.

You literally could have done both over heat and reload and still be lore accurate.

I hate the fact they took away reloading and ammo, it took away an entire element of teamplay and in a game that’s already lacking teamplay taking more away is not great.
