Shanna Gardner and her estranged husband Mario Fernandez Saldana are accused of hiring a hitman to kill Gardner’s ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, a design supervisor with Microsoft. During Gardner’s bond hearing this week, the judge heard testimony from the lead detective on the case, who laid out the evidence police have gathered so far. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber analyzes the complex investigation with Thomas Holt, the Director of the Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice.

Ngl...hiring Jose Baez is like sticking a neon sign over a defendant that screams "Guilty!" She doesn't have much of a defense here. Plain greed and vindictive rage on her part. Glad to see this whole case moving forward though. I pray that all of his children are doing ok and coping well.

Agreed. Commented before and said something similar haha. Great minds.... Jose Baez only defends guilty women. Also, not true to the other reply. Casey Anthony had a lot of defenses. Endless ones. She would have been found guilty if the prosecution didn't ONLY go for the death penalty and refuse to allow a verdict be decided for any lesser punishment or charge. Jurors don't like to conviction for the death penalty on purely circumstantial evidence. Even when it is on fire it's so obvious.

She walled herself off from the hitman, just like Donna Adelson. Each train carriage talks to only the carriage in front of them or the carriage in back of them. They were able to get Donna on the emails, texts, checks she issued, wiretapped phone call recordings and 'the bump' which really got Donna going.

The BIG question is: Will Jose Baez blame it all on Shanna's father. Again. If her parents are paying for her defense, they should maybe consider his past performance.

Seems to me that these women caught up in plotting or unaliving their husbands/ex husbands all seem to have one thing in common, intrusive and over involved parents. Wendi Adelson's parents over involved, this woman Shanna Gardner parents using their money and influence to get their daughter what she wanted, and Kouri Richins' mother giving her ideas about and how to unalive her husband for financial gain. Do these women think about the impact their evil actions will have on their children??? It's just mind blowing. I could see if the guy was a bad dude, abusive father, treated the children horribly but these men appear to have had a loving relationship with their children.

I don't know where to start. Someone's landlord literally asked them to take out a hit on someone? These are landlords?? Also, why would anyone think they'd get away with this? This is not the 19th-century! You won't. Also, and I find this funny, why on Earth would you literally create a paper trail via checks?? I mean isn't it Bad Guys 101 to pay everything in cash?? lol.
