It depends on the structure. If you can buy in for 100BB or more, I open up my limping range in early and middle position and raise in late position more.

Yeah, I agree. If you are in the cutoff or button, have a bad hand but there are 4 limpers ahead of you and you know the BB and SB are tight, you can get at least 6 to 1 on a very cheap bet, even with a weak hand like 4-7, for example.

I've sometimes found that limping with a baby pocket pair (2-6) lets me see cheaper flops and fold when I don't hit my three of a kind.
@JLIV461
@JLIV461 11 ай бұрын
I usually raise two BB's. Not enough to knock people out, but just to build the pot, in case my set-mining pays off. And it's not like I'm pot committed if I miss the Flop. Also, if there's a substantial three-bet at least you narrow their range. And depending on the player, and his stack size, decide whether you want to call or let it go. Just my two cents. What do y'all think?

@@BIGXOUNCEIt's not always better, but it can make you look less sure of your hand and/or make it seem like you're bluffing. The less other players think you have in your hand the more they're willing to bet against it, and the more you can win assuming it's good. It's not always a good strategy but it does work.

At risk of sounding a lil fishy.... How well does the wsop app translate to say micros online? I turned 300k into 250 million in 3 days on the app. I want to play for real but I'm still appreciative. I don't like to lose real money (I really don't have the affordability to play more than micros) I have been playing at my family poker night for years every Friday at my grandma's. We play friendly tho. Not much raising. Quarter ante, Quarter bets. No blinds. Kinda turned me into a see it player. And I been smoked by the tags a few times. But I feel like I'm doing something right haha. Love your content
@Beanpolr

Honestly if you have basic strategy down, you'll probably do alright. The thing with online that I've noticed is tables are often a mixed bag. People play crazy online, so it helps to be a bit more conservative, especially if you're in a situation where you can't afford to lose much. That being said, poker is gambling, and if you can't afford to lose, you can't afford to win. Only play with money you'd be 100% okay with saying goodbye to. And at least for me, nerves throw me off, so if you're already worried about winning, you don't want to have to worry about losing on top of that.

@oldshoe1
@oldshoe1 11 ай бұрын
Disguising could work in your favor, but it’s not the best strategy. You want to bet to make the smaller cards, or pretty much weaker hands fold. Sometimes those weak hands can flop something good to end up beating you. Also when you bet you can also get a better read on the players, but at this point you should know what type of player you’re up agains.

It's hard to see how any of this matters on-line. The odds are so irrelevant. Bad plays seem to have an edge. Not 10 minutes ago I was playing on wsop mi. I was over 90% on the flop with AK over K7 off. K on the flop Out of position I check, he bets I raise ,he pushes I call 7 on the river. 3 hands before that. pocket Q's . I raise get called by J9 off Flop Q 10 4. Because I know the straight will come I push. He calls hits a K on the river. ODDS DON"T MEAN A DAME THING. ONLY RAKE.
