Since is summer I came up with 9 things people in Finland does during these times of the year (in the mökki/cabin)
let's see them.

3:18 be extra careful when chopping the wood. you might have hit your leg with the axe there, and you dont need to take the axe behind your head when hitting. Stay safe :)

The movement must be downwards as straight as possible, not a swing. If the axe changes direction by hitting the wood badly to the side, the swinging motion will end cutting your leg. The downward direction is achieved by bending your knees slightly when you hit. Not a problem in a city when you will be in hospital in 15 minutes, but a faraway island is a serious risk to your life.

@@diego.suomessa Btw. the video was a very accurate description of a perfect Finnish summer, and the magnificrnt archipelago itself explains why the battles with tics, snakes and mosquitos are worth it.

I'm from U.S and moving to Finland in 6 weeks! I'm starting my Masters degree at Aalto University. I look forward to more videos as I learn about Finnish culture. I've been to Finland before and I already love the sauna and avanto culture during winter. I've never done sauna in Summer... I agree it looks too easy!
