I have to try this one day. Here in New Zealand there are some lakes down south that freeze over in the winter so maybe I could try with one of them but I think they are mainly used for ice skating.

@@diego.suomessaLake Ida, Lake Evelyn, Lake Lyndon, Lake Clearwater, Lake Camp, the Red Lakes and Lake Roundabout and some others. Lake Ida seems to be the most popular.

Here in Finland during mid winter its a struggle. The ice is so damn thick that its really a struggle to make a hole in the ice.

@@diego.suomessa Yeah i have a summer cottage near tampere. during midwinter we sometimes use the chainsaw because the ice is so thick. then we use a pump that creates a current which prevents new ice from forming. that way we can use it for weeks.
