Men shouldn’t wear name brands, “luxury” brands like Gucci, blah blah y’all know are not real “luxury” you’re paying for brand names not brand material go by something 100% wool, 100% silk and see the difference in quality.

Different colognes out there tho have very different projection and u need more to even last a few hours or be able smell it. It all smells good right away, but the cologne designers do it this way for money, as you use more and have to eventually buy more sooner. Most designer or niche fragrances do this. Can’t make this point enough, so her point isn’t valid

There’s a balance to that, I often see that mindset with men who are already married or in a LTR so it’s easy to say if you’re not in the brutal dating pool, which of course you don’t want to “lead with money” but at the same time, you probably might want to quietly signal you’re financially comfortable somehow, right? 🤨

male perspective "less put together" vs. "cheap" -- opposites "attention to detail and style" -- signaling effeminacy? "accessory": "watch" -- big yes, especially if it can program the car and house, feed the dog on schedule, and alert you to spycams and radar. "bracelets", "tie", "rings" -- extrinsically needy grooming habits: "bathing" -- proactive problem solver "cutting hair every for weeks" "nail symmetry" -- soft "skin care routine" "fragrance" -- dysphoria "logos" -- name dropping to cover low self esteem "trendy" -- who cares? "wrinkles/creases" -- spends time on what's important "armpit stains" -- medical condition "other stains" -- no insecurities "immodesty" -- narcissist trying to distract you from other, massive insecurities

I really like what you mentioned about the proper fitting of clothes, because that's a secret way men can save money while maintaining a sharp look. I have a friend who mastered this in college. He'd go to the thrift stores and buy clothes that fit him well for prices as low as $3 per shirt and $10 for pants. We used to laugh because we had a mutual friend who believed he had to wear the newest, most expensive designer clothes to attract women, and his budget consisted of $50 shirts and $100 pants. There really is a way to "ball on a budget" if you know where to look and what you're looking for. Also, funny psychological sidenote, the thrift store friend became an accountant while the expensive friend became a dentist. Both good people, but I can't help but see a connotation in their professions versus amounts of money spent.

Good advice. Throughout my years, I have definitely witnessed firsthand the difference. I usually just wear all black everything: cargo/straight trousers, hoodie/jacket, footwear. But, whenever I wear a slimfit white shirt, skinny black tie, trousers and comfortable wallaby type shoes, even women who work in the city doubletake sometimes. Especially if I have my hair canrowed at the time. Personally, I like to dress comfortable and skinny/slim fits just don't do it for me. I ask my brothers all the time how and why they want to wiggle and shake into their jeans lol. Open/cuffed cargos of dark colours, brightest I'd go is cream. White tees galore and tees with designs, usually anime or a comic book character or movie reference as they always tend to be a ice-breaker for me through the years, and a fresh pair of simple but not over-expensive trainers(sneakers).

Overall, I love your video. It was packed with much good info, when we are at this level. Though, we have to remember that much of this is what we see on the outside of the man. Men have to know how to work on their life priority frame. This is a concept few understand. These life priorities are in the following order: mind, body, natural responsibilities (children, pets, etc.), home (with devices and utilities prioritized inside), media, work priorities, and friend/leisure priorities. Now, imagine a sliding frame. When it contracts, it drops down from friend/leisure priorities to mind priorities (mental health priorities). As we take care of our mind, body, natural responsibilities, and home (making sure we are completely filling them in), we can expand our life priority frame further to media, work, and finally to friend/leisure priorities. When we go on dates, it's supposed to be at the friend/leisure priority level in life. At that level, we can find men (or women) that have the perfect fitting clothes, accessorizes really well, and groom beautifully while having the right amount of fragrance, no visible logos, no wrinkles, and no bright colors. With all that going on, they can be a hot mess on all those other life priorities before the friend/leisure priority level, the one they have down pat and look good. Some people make fun of others who say "It's what's on the inside that matters", but it really does matter, a lot! Those with deficiencies in taking care of their life priorities will be prone to problems in life, and it makes them prone to dragging the rest of us into the holes in their life. I would love to hear you talk more about what you find on this subject, but I think your audience could only probably handle a sprinkle of this subject over time. In other words, even though I think this is such an important subject, I don't want to do anything that could contribute to you losing your audience... You help too many people out there to lose you! Peace Courtney!

Unless you are very fashion forward (and in that environment, probably, or smth artsy) or flamboyant, when it comes to colors it's usually better to stick with the earthy, solid and less flashy. Hi Courtney! Can you do a video on men's dress and evening shoes? I'm looking to buy some formal black dress shoes to go with a suit but also some less formal "evening casual" shoes (brown, black, etc.) that would be great for an evening date or night out on the town. Something more elegant than sneakers but not super black-tie formal. A lot of this is personal taste, but I don't want to look too dated. I prefer laces and good traction/soles on my dress shoes for safety reasons tbh, and I don't like the casual loafers and bows on churchy dress shoes that Baby Boomers wear, so I'll avoid those. Thank you!

Do you shut of the sources that are giving you the results that reinforce the scarcity mindset? a.k.a(dating apps) Would you say ask women that you are comfortable around on first dates to just build confidence? In my place, the talors aren't what they used to be. All they do is (often poor job) of fixing clothes, or make the larger ones smaller. They just dont make custom clothes anymore for some reason. You see some cool outfit online, but its not available at the stores, so you're "stuck" with whatever the store has at ofter overbloated price but with not so great quality. By the way cargo pants/shorts are awesome. It has the same function as your handbags (often a luggage size), that you ladies wear. As for watches it all depends. I own several, originals one of which is quite expensive piece, but I wouldn't wear that particular watch everyday, but some of the less expensive ones. You just need to be careful not to get scammed with cheap copies that are priced as originals. I also enjoy pocket watches, they have that unique thing about them, but of course its not something that should be worn while jogging for example.

Important things: 0:29 First Thing ÷ Proportions Are Off; 2:43 Second Thing ÷ Over Accessorizing; 4:14 Third Thing ÷ Not Keeping Up With Grooming Habits; 6:35 Fourth Thing ÷ Too Much Fragrance; 7:34 Fifth Thing ÷ Excessive Logos; 8:57 Sixth Thin ÷ Trend Takeover; 10:56 Seventh Thing ÷ Bright Or Bad Color Combinations; 12:38 Eight Thing ÷ Wrinkles And Creases: 13:32 Ninth Thing ÷ Leaving Little To be Desired; and 15:17 to summarize all the told here. I suggest that you should make a video of behavior and different things that men come across cheap, and my suggest that you should make a video of behavior and different things that women come across cheap as well Courtney. Among the all the told here, I might add things what is also looking cheap as well. And can apply to men, and women as well. That is Tenth Thing ÷ Behaving Very Poorly (like showing that they are the center of the world, or some other inappropriate way of behaving's in society, etc.). I totally agree that watching trends can be so hard, and annoying, cause it, very hard to follow them. And I can say that the Trend Takeover can also apply not just to clothes, but it can also be applied to hair, and bear styles (and to be honest, I don't like to see them like copy - paste). That can apply to either men, and women as well (like it or not). Also combination of clothes (in the case of not putting the right colors); putting too much things such as rings, necklaces, etc. can be applied to men and women. I always remembered one thing that my mom told me a thing when I was a little child. She told me this: "Son, don't dress up yourself to look like a parrot." I think what have you told here Courtney, that can also be applied to women as well. I also don't understand putting too much fragrances (and that are doing, either men, and women as well). I understand that we have to smell nice (and certainly not to stink), but don't overdo it with fragrance. I remember that I have seen once a quote that goes like (you can correct me if I'm wrong): "The best perfume (or fragrance, call it whatever you want) smell is the smell of a clean face." Thank you so much Courtney ❤💙🤍.

Youre 100% correct on quality over quantity, clean and organized is where its at. Ponce-y brand logo shirts (et al) are ultra cringe-y and are IMO the epitome of tacky and needlessly and immediately make one look pretentious and materialistic, theres no real style there just posturing that falls flat. I bought a pair of Trickers Stow brogue boots, there are brands for a fraction of the price with an identical look but Trickers will and do last a lifetime, a sweatshop boot will not...Ive had a pair of Danner boots, not exactly inexpensive but they are still in tip top shape after 30 years. Words to live by that have never steered me wrong: Spend the money once on quality or you'll spend repeatedly on trash. Keep it classy gents.

No matter where I go, men look slovenly, including even in church. I dress in a rather casual style, nothing expensive nor exceptional, and I get compliments, not because I look elegant, but simply because I avoid looking shabby. It is a sad state of affairs in our society.

You're supposed to get the girl first and then let her play Ken doll on you. Most men have a very utilitarian attitude towards clothing. Function over form. If she wants the product bad enough, she's not gonna worry too much about the packaging.

In high school, I was taking a trip with the family and my grandma and right before we left, I went to put cologne on and the bottle top came off and I spilled it all over my hands and shirt. I tried washing it off the best I could but we were leaving. About 10 mins into the car ride, the family was silently getting uncomfortable and agitated from the smell and from the backseat my grandma goes, "He's really trying to attract the mosquitos isnt he?". LOL.

I will admit, I sometimes still feel like an incel despite having a girlfriend, probably because I feel that my 20s were a waste, didn't have a serious relationship until the beginning of my 30s. It causes me to envy and resent couples out there younger than me, people who got to experience having a serious long-term relationship before I did and yes I know people will always say comparison is the thief of joy or don't compare yourself to others. But I believe it's always has been and always will be part of the human psyche, been that way since the beginning of time to feel upset and depressed when you feel you are not part of the norm. Because of that I feel like a forever permanent incel for all time, even when I did manage to get a girlfriend. So yeah even while I did have a girlfriend, I still felt like an incel. I don't see myself ever getting over this, it will be a pain and wound for the rest of my life. And I'm not afraid to admit that there have been times over the years I have hated being born male, because I know I'm not the only guy in the world that has this mindset, that men have to do everything in dating and relationships and seduction. Yes I know tons of people say what's the point of being angry and depressed over what didn't happen in the past or not? Well I'm entitled and I have a right to my mindset, I believe it's always been part of human nature or just the human psyche to always be sad and depressed or angry and resentful over good things that they wish happened to them in the past but didn't. I know I'm not afraid to admit I have had these thoughts, and I'm sure other guys have thought this way, we feel that if we had been born a woman, we would not have been single that long. Probably because women just have to exist and they are guaranteed attention and options from Men, that requires no skill or no social dynamics, no game or no seduction. One person I remember I heard said that women need game as well which I thought was the stupidest thing I ever heard. So ya I still feel like an incel for all time despite managing to get a girlfriend eventually, and I still get irritated and annoyed whenever people and society say that men have it better than women do in the human mating game. I get annoyed when people say go see a therapist because it's not like a therapist can reset my life or have me start my life all over again. I spoke in a few other guys who feel the same way in regards to being forever angry and upset, sad, over never having had a girlfriend until later than normal, until late in life. Probably because guys and men to learn and know all of these skills, all of these social behaviors, talk and behave a certain way, act a certain way, walk a certain way or have a certain lifestyle, have a certain body, certain income, and more than that which I either don't know or forgot. Women are pretty much basically all set for just being born and just existing. Because being pretty and beautiful is not a skill and it doesn't require any learning, it's not a behavior that takes training. It just really feels me with anger and rage whenever people and Society have the mindset or still think men have it better than women do in dating or just human mating in general. I'll never forget what one guy said and this only added fuel to fire in regards to my anger and rage about the cards on dealt with for being born male. "Boo fucking hoo. We also don't have to go through child birth and we're strong as fuck. Testosterone gives us ambition + mental and physical strength that MANY (not all) women are lacking. Being a man has many benefits and with great power comes great responsibility. Stop crying about it and get your fucking shit together" Let's just say that pissed me off even further, got me so mad, that its no appropriate for me to say what was going through my mind when i read that comment that pissed me off even further. Yes I know there's no such thing as fairness but I'm not afraid to admit that over the years in my life I've hated being born a guy or I just feel that it is unfair being born a man. Yes I'm aware there's no such thing as fairness, I just get very angry and enraged whenever people and Society still think men have it better than women do.

We actually shouldn't wear any artificial fragrance at all, if we want to attract our soul mates. We have very subtle scent receptors that pick up others' biochemistry and can determine compatibility on that basis (think pheromones). Think of how important scent is in the animal world. Well, we're animals. You've heard of "animal magnetism"? This may be in part due to pheromones and the natural scent that emanate. We can find mates partly on this basis, on the basis of compatible biochemistry. We want a meeting of the minds, ultimately -- right? Biochemistry is helpful toward this end. I am *NOT* talking about rocking B.O.! Take a shower and soap your armpits, of course. What I *am* talking about is not blocking your natural scent with artificial colognes and fragrances. Yes, they smell good -- but so do a lot of things: cakes baking, and so forth -- but we don't need to smell like them! There's a "musky* type smell that men give off, that's not offensive, and that women are subtly and subconsiously attracted to. Didn't Courtney recently say women like men's sweat? (Not rotten old sweat, but fresh.) Anway, I didn't make this up.
