Solid build similar to mine, Z690 UD DDR4, 12600KF cooled by an Enermax 360MM Liqmax 3, 32 GB of Kingston Fury 3200 and a6750XT powered with a Corsair CX750M in a Lian Li Lancool 216.

Great guide, I built a PC... like this. Got the case on sale, and it's just good enough, build quality so-so, but looks nice and is quiet. Scratched the black paint removing a stand-off with pliers. Appreciate the details on how to run the case wiring, really helpful. I guess nobody uses the extra 4-pin CPU power connector on motherboard (just the 24 +8) not 24+8+4? I see you didn't on yours, and I didn't either, my semi modular power supply had an extra 8pin, but not a 4 pin for the space next to the 8. Built mine with ASUS TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS and i5 12600K and Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU Air Cooler on sale Black Friday.

That i5-12600KF was a steal during the prime and tech sale at $154.99. If going AMD, the 5 7500F is a tad hard to get, but is great performance at its price of ~$179.99. Plus its on AM5

Yeah the R5 7500F is a really good option. It actually beats the i5 13400f in gaming at a lower price. The problem is that it supports only ddr5 which is expensive at higher frequency.

@@_ynnek if you can buy the 7600 go for it, but both will do just fine.

@@_ynnekno diff. If anything the 7600 might be better. They are the same parts. 7500F has no iGPU and slightly lower clocks that's it

@@casnub5484 sadly and somehow, 7600x is about 3$ cheaper than the 7600 (246.68$ vs 249.98$) i dont know how but it happened in one of the stores, big yikes but the 7500F is still holding at 173.21$ (Cheapest i can find) (im not gonna include the price of the shipping yet well shucks

One thing I think could be better, do FPS avg on lowest settings as well to see max FPS in-game.

the 12600kf is a beast! supports ddr5, plenty of cores, and higher boost clocks. built a computer around it not long ago for about $630.

Did a budget 12700KF and am on 12900KF for gaming etc rn. 12600KF still a decent deal though it was cheaper.

I like your build guides because they are so detailed in step by step building, especially when it comes to dealing with cable management and getting the case fans properly configured. I was thinking of making this into a more budget build. You did a $1000 build like this about a year ago, this seems to be a slight upgrade for less money due to dropping prices. I wanted to turn your last build into a budget build. And install a B550 and Ryzen 4500 with a used 1080 Ti. I could have pulled it off for around $500, however, I cannot find that case you used in stock anymore. In fact, everything seems to be outta stock right now. Not sure what's going on.

what would be a good alternative for the motherboard? Would the aorus b660 pro ax work just as good? Or what about the aorus B760 elite ax. I'm not familiar with the compatibility of these parts and if these alternatives would work. If you could provide some insight that would be great! Thankyou.

yes, its a great entry level CPU for AM5, better get the non-X version since its much cheaper and not much difference to the X variant

I am confused between 13600kf with 4070 or 7600 with 7800XT (bit spectacle about amd people are saying they are not stable and random shut down and random graphics pixel stutter happened any idea)? My priority is Its my main pc for client work and gaming so it's need to be stable and no crash or blue screen problems. Budget is 1200USD. Any better suggestion?

for $900 you can actually fit a 6800 non xt in and it will be amazing if you're only gaming

just get a kingston 1tb ssd for like 70 dollars. it has read speed up to like 7k mb/s and write of up to 6k

For those who planning to build intel KF/K version in future. I strongly suggest getting aio liquid cooler. Those CPU has higher stock TDP over 1.2volt. When u gaming(depends on game) your temp will be at range 69-71++ with air cooler and it will trigger intel safe temp and limit cpu performance. But those temp still fine👍
