Fascinating about the rebadge from the Club Sport label. You caused me to do a search on the 3.2 CS and the 991 Carrera T really does resemble the CS... to a T! This snippet from a 3.2 CS review on classicdriver.com highlights it: "Like the slightly later 968 Clubsport, the 911 CS was a more extreme yet affordable version of the G-Series. Rather than concentrating on maximising performance from the engine (the redline was raised ever so slightly), Porsche put the 3.2 Carrera on a crash diet. Electrical creature comforts were mainly culled: air-conditioning, electric windows and central locking, for example - if it wasn’t absolutely necessary, it was gone. As a result, the standard car’s 1210kg kerb weight was reduced by around 50kg. It's not officially known how many were produced between 1987 and 1989, but it's thought to be only a few hundred. Unlike today, stripped-out specials often (perhaps logically) used to cost less than their full-fat counterparts and the 911 CS was some £1200 cheaper." Okay, that last part about being cheaper definitely doesn't hold true today.

This was a fun video! I have a 718S, and miss my old 997.2 GT3. Thinking of going back to a 911 one day, and still deciding which model to go for.

Great stuff Janko, thank you so much for adding to the Carrera T reviews on youtube. Personally I would have liked a longer video with more depth towards the quality of the drive, your personal opinion and also more detail on the exact spec of this particular Carrera T. Unlike you I think the stickers and the model description belongs on the Carrera T - T for touring -. I would be proud to own one and I would spec it towards long drives through Europe to reach the places the Carrera T belongs, that being, the european alps and intense drives deep into south eastern Europe like Romanian and not so much as a track oriented tool. Hope to see more Carrera T' video on your channel now that you have a friend that owns one ;-) .

I got a 2019 991.2 4 gts, and that's MY keeper!!!

I was in to minds between a GT4 or a Mercedes GTS AMG. I’m now firmly set on a 911T with same spec but with the factory no cost infotainment delete option as it will be a weekend car only. Great review, thanks 👍

Nice review Janko. It is in fact T time :) I only got 3 options on my T (FAL, RAS, heated steering wheel)... and an akrapovic exhaust which is gonna be installed in a couple weeks. The buckets are great buy my girls love riding in daddys car:)

An update.....I recently traded my 718 GTS for a lightly used Carrera T with 1160 KM. The 718 is a beautiful car, but I love the sound of the T and it doesn’t look nor feel much bigger tthan the 718 Cayman. Still getting accustomed to the new shifter and clutch feel. I think that this car is a keeper.

I came so close to closing a deal on a 991.2 T before I decided on the 992. I can’t wait until the 992 T comes out. I definitely plan on getting one! I love the buckets and rear seat delete. A true 911 drivers car. Do you think the 992 T will be a narrow body or will Porsche stick with the wide body recipe that goes with the rest of the 992 Carrera lineup? Keep up the great work Janko! Janko, great review and it stimulates individual thinking! So...without 911 559 339 00 decal available, would your choice of decal be “Clubsport” “Club Sport” “Carrera CS” or no decal? Would a 4” decal on the doors be right, similar to the Club Coupe decal? I can’t get enough of your reviews, thank you!

I’d get the bucket seats, but probably also PDK. NO sunroof, NO back seats. Akra exhaust and sportscats. Maybe BBS FI-R satin bronze finish.

I'll wait until they put a close and I mean CLOSE ratio 6 speed in it for Counties with non Autobahn speed limits. I'm down with your Motorsport Heritage Color and Porsche History - but I would go GT Silver Metallic with the Titanium Grey Wheels and the Decals on the sides - and I need the rear seats - so no buckets either, the 'regular seats are way more comfortable and this car should have a street ride vibe imho...........eventual collector car ? who cares - if you love it and take care of it, of course someone in 20 to 40 years is going to want it.......also the GTS wing you show has the optional sport design wing with its' extra curve so maybe it doesn't need as steep an angle of inclination for the aero to match the front aero of that car - maybe not - you should compare apples to apples so your review becomes suspect to me right then and there.........

Janko, what’s your opinion on this 911T? Brand new. Carrera white with 918 buckets, rear seat delete, sport design, ceramics... but it has a PDK. I’d like to track it. So I think PDK works for me! But do I lose limited slip diff and PTV+ with a PDK Carrera T? Would Carrara white metallic still be considered a Motorsport color? I’m an air cooled fanatic, but finally looking for some more modern metal to take to track days and be sure to get it home with me afterwards. The manual 991.2 Carrera T is so far the most fun 911 I’ve driven, and I’ve driven the lot, besides my late -90 C2 Cabrio. The Carrera T seems to me to be the Carrera 2’s heir, keeping the Porsche driver’s essence safe from all modernities in this world. Just need to find the perfect specced car!

I completely disagree about the seats. In my opinion, it makes absolutely no since to spec bucket seats in any car that won't be driven primarily on the race track. While perfect for that, bucket seats are an absolute nightmare to live with everyday on public roads. If the car is a daily driver, only tracked occasionally, the sport seats are an infinitely better choice.

Of all the 911 T reviews, this one nails it. It’s the subtleties of the differences between the 991 models that he has picked so well, the gearbox, the rear spoiler. Wonderful

Your videos are the best 911 advertising. Beautiful editing and fun commentary. However, I am too old to crawl in and out of those awesome looking carbon fiber seats. Like your harness seat belts, it looks very cool but not practical for every day.

You know your cars, but your choice of seats, no none, those are uncomfortable, I'd speck the comfort for resale but my Bride Euroster in protien leather just absorbs my body for hours of back ache freedriving. That those Porsche seats will give. No for my money I'll keep my Japanese seats. Thanks
