📖 Our Story:
We bought this stone house in Italy during the pandemic in 2020. The house was a ruin and we saved everything we could, unfortunately that meant only four stone and clay walls! The back wall, against the terrain, was close to collapse; the roof beams were eaten and basically reduced to dust; the inside separation walls were easily taken down and the whole project turned into a heavy renovation/rebuild.
Follow our journey as we turn this old stone house into a beautiful home 😊.

I’m not sure if they both have a lot of potential . In my view they have completely fulfilled their potential, certainly with respect to renovating crumbling old ruins back to their full potential 🤣💋.

The door frames and kitchen are both skillfully done. I really like the colors in your home. It feels serene and calm. You both solve issues well. Life cannot always go as we expect, perfectly. I put pressure on myself and when I make a mistake, I strive to repair as quickly as I can. Your home is more beautiful than I ever expected. Now that you have mostly finished the house, it looks cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. The only thing I find missing is the foreman's door to let himself in and out. lol.

I love the invisible doors, it gives more space to place your furniture. The baseboards underneath the kitchen cabinets just made it look finished and beautiful. You’ve done a wonderful job on your new home. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Lovely to catch up with you again. In the UK they are known as ‘pocket doors’. They were popular in the Arts and Crafts Movement. They can also be found in some of the great historical American houses in the southern USA I believe.

Of all the progress on your property, what has been your favorite part/accomplishment? 2. What has been your happiness mistake? The tiles in the kitchen are already grouted (ep #78 I think) 😉 we will also grout the tiles in the living room soon and some elements of landscaping will start soon as well!

Hello jeunes gens 😊 J'ai coutume de dire que seuls ceux qui ne font rien ne commettent jamais aucune erreur 😉 Et au vu de la charge de travail qui a été la vôtre depuis le début de la transformation de votre maison, je trouve que vous vous en êtes vraiment très très bien sortis. Vous avez géré les difficultés avec une (apparente) facilité assez déconcertante. Et probablement beaucoup de fatigue accumulée tout au long du processus, aussi. Les finitions apportent effectivement un réel plus. Trop belle, cette cuisine 🤩 Câlins à la plus belle (qui semble avoir déjà trouvé son spot préféré, dans la cuisine 😅) Merci pour le partage, à très bientôt 😊

Another Good Morning here in Vermont USA where all of my snow has finally melted and the grass is getting green. I really love the flush mount door look that you are creating for the main wall and look forward to seeing the completion. It has given me an idea for a future project here. The manufacturer of our doors is Eclisse, but there are many other brands making the same product 😉

Bonjour, la robinetterie , c'est pas cool niveau économique. Normalement mitigeur thermostatique, réducteur de débit, mousseurs . Si possible met tout en led surtout les ampoules caché. Frigo, four. Et ect...

Sincères félicitations pour votre projet utilisant des matériaux éco-responsables et durables. Je suis un de vos premiers fans. En revanche, et sans vouloir être rabat-joie, il serait temps de vous poser la question d’être cohérents avec cette approche en évitant, notamment, d’acheter des bananes, dont je suis sûr, vous pourriez vous passer. Idem s’agissant des façades d’éléments de cuisine venant de votre partenaire qui ne sont pas vraiment raccord avec le reste. Cela étant dit, je vous souhaite le meilleur, et vous suis infiniment reconnaissant des tutoriels très inspirants que vous avez posté ces deux dernières années,. Sans rancune, et avec toute ma sympathie. NB à tous les rageux, suiveurs aveuglés, bas du front, bien pensants, qui réagiraient mal à mes propros, simplement ignorez moi, et tout se passera bien. Ciao à tutti.❤

Con lastre di Fermacell, che sono molto più robuste del cartongesso, non dovrebbe essere un problema :) infatti la marca non parla di nastro di carta o rete nella sua guida di installazione!

Очень красиво, но не хватает текстиля в доме... Красивые занавеси и ковер на полу, шкуры на стене придадут дому обжитой и уютный вид. Не смотрите на современные тенденции минимализма. Они хороши для выставок и павильонов, а каменный дом с историей требует дерева и текстиля, в умеренном количестве, конечно... Удачи...

il en faut du matos, du temps et du savoir faire! finalment, les "finitions" (encadrures portes, ect, ..) prennent autant de temps que le gros oeuvre!votre choix de portes "invisibles" est génial! c'est votre chien (un peu "chef de chantier! lol) qui est heureux de rentrer-sortir!
