Marking tire locations is genius. Milk jug is good trick. Thanks for the video. Watched it twice to pick up on all of your tricks. Definitely raised my confidence of taking this on. My dealer recommended blocking up frame/center of backhoe, probably accomplishes same thing as lowering to the ground.

Nice Job, well done. I run the CK2510 and used to dread dropping and installing the backhoe. I found a couple of things that work for me. First, I soak down the points of attachment with WD-40 prior to either application. Second, and this took some doing, I chock the unit as it lowers and this keeps it in place for an easy install. Mind you, it requires a bit of lumber but once cut to size, its easy-peasy. Finally, my series requires I sit in the operators seat to close the safety circuit. It is burdensome but necessary. Thanks for sharing, safe tour. Fidelis Ad Mortem.

So the weather today in NE N.Y. turned out great to tackle the removal of the bkhoe attachment on the CK20s and attach a JRW 52” blower. Everything I encountered was covered in your video. My tractor being a 2010 model does not have the safety switch in the seat. This made it easy to feather the HST pedal and ease the tractor away from the bkhoe. The only thing I did different was I chocked the bkhoe on blocks. I won’t be doing that next time cause I can see why you store it flat, space is a valuable commodity with equipment. If it were flat I could park a another toy or vehicle on top of the frame. The only thing I don’t like about this model Kioti is that the ground clearance gets minimal on soft ground with the bkhoe attachment on. I’m sure you know, that ground that looks good after freeze out but turns into mud. It wasn’t fun getting her out with chain hoists and a come along. Anyways all turned out well thanks to your post, thanks again ! Oh and by thanks for your LE service. Bet your glad your out, Portland is definitely not Disney. Hi, nice job! I have a Kioti KB2485 backhoe and after the hoe is off on level ground you can raise the stabilizers and lock them in place to save some space, with the subframe being so long it helps to stabilize it when they are up. Also these subframes are famous for cracking on the welds at the rear housing area, mine did after 20 months and Kioti put a new one on for free, however I've heard they have refused others the out of warranty repair, good to do an inspection of the welds when it's cleaned up, cheers!

Hi MWKA! Just love your videos since I'm planning to buy some 50 acres or so. A friend of mine bought a Kioti last year (4010) and he is very satisfied. I'm looking forward to buy my first Kioti tractor in a near future. That said, would it be easier and faster once your backhoe is leveled and your tractor can move forward without moving the backhoe, placing some pieces of wood like precise handmade stands, underneath the backhoe just the right height so when you're ready to backup again, you don't have to struggle that much to put it back on. Once the hydraulic is back, just putting the right pressure with the "side legs" on the floor...I'm no expert, but i would probably try that myself. If you do try it, let us know. But then again, that's the carpenter in me LOL!
@tractorrookie
@tractorrookie 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gentleman! I have had some discussions with folks about that and I have also seen some videos where guys have made dollys for them. I think it would be worth a try. I like the backhoe metal frame that attaches to the tractor flat on the floor. I think it is more stable and less of a tripping hazard. Additionally, there are times when I park the tractor over top of it. For as infrequently as I use it, the trade off of struggling to mount it is worth the benefits of having it secure on the floor. That might change, but that’s where I am at right now! I really appreciate you taking the time to check out the videos and commenting. Good luck on your property and tractor purchase!👍🚜🍺🇺🇸

I wanted to put a backhoe on my kiote so I proceeded to the dealer to purchase one. They told me I would have to remove my subframe for the snowblower then add a different subframe for the hoe. That’s a very difficult job and makes it not worth it because I would have to do it twice a year! If I were in the business of making tractors and equipment I would design, a multi frame that would work for all kiote equipment including the mower. If I new this upfront I wud have a rear mounted snow blower or snow pusher. In the long run, it worked out OK because now I hire a guy once a year with a excavator to do all my backhoe work and I probably saved a small fortune not buying the hoe.

Hi there, thanks for the informative video. I’m waiting for my backhoe and use a sea can as a temporary garage for the tractor at the moment. I’m wondering if I’ll be able to store the backhoe in there, any chance you would be able to measure the widest dimension with the stabilizers. I have the data sheet but I suspect from the geometry they might swing out a bit further when 90 degrees. I’d like to know if it will clear the sides of the container so I can store it inside.

👍😁Thank you! Unfortunately, I don’t have the backhoe connected right now. Measuring the down riggers on the floor, it’s 8’5”. You know the shoes on the end swivel, so that might allow you some wiggle room. I have swiveled them upside down when I’m in tight spaces. I hope that helps, if not, I can measure for you when I hook her back up. Thanks for checking us out!💪🚜🇺🇸

Hi, Thanks so much for this. I have an incoming DK4710 with the backhoe. (have always had JD to date). I'll keep it in the barn on concrete floor but will need to unhook and then move out of the center of the barn. I've seen lots of home made backhoe dollies for other brands but not Kioti. Based on your experience, do you think a dolly could be made to work? It seems when yours it at rest, the weight is only on the bucket and the frame and the outriggers just keep it from being tippy, is that right? I'd welcome any thoughts.
@tractorrookie
@tractorrookie 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Don! Thanks! Yes, I think you could build a dolly for it. You actually only need to drop it about 3”-4” inches to drive the tractor off of it. The weight of the backhoe is just sitting on the frame on the floor. The down riggers and bucket just support. Visualizing moving the backhoe around on a dolly and into position for hookup seems cumbersome to me, but I have never done it. It might work great. You can also move the backhoe around once you have it lifted and slid into the rear catch, but I’m sure it’s not recommended without it being fully secure. Cool! Congratulations on your new tractor. Not sure if you are on Facebook, but there is a Kioti tractor owners only page. 😁🚜👍🇺🇸🍺

Thanks for sharing this. I bought a Kioti CK3510 a year ago and then last spring bought the backhoe attachment. The dealer installed it and I have been somewhat dreading removing the backhoe for the winter. I don't have a nice workshop with concrete floor. I'm struggling figure out where outside I can park and tarp the attachment. I kind of wish that I could remove the backhoe and then use my forks to pick it up to set it up on blocks to keep it above the snow and mud. What do you think? Would this work? Perhaps lift with a sling? I'd appreciate your ideas.
@tractorrookie
@tractorrookie 3 жыл бұрын
🌟🚜 Hi Steve, Thanks for watching. I think that would work. Depending on the length of your forks. I would try a pallet or 4x4s to set it on. You only need to drop the backhoe down low enough to clear the tractor under carriage when you drive it off. Kioti says my backhoe weighs 880 lbs, so that is well within the capacity of the front loader, you will want some ballast when you lift it. Obviously, I would try to drop it as close to where you are going to store it as possible. Hope that helps! Talk to you soon!💪🇺🇸🍺

😁 Thanks. I have never tried that. You definitely need the backhoe and the down riggers to move the frame up and down. @tractorrookie
@tractorrookie 11 ай бұрын
Hey buddy! Well , maybe! I have heard of and talked to guys that use blocks or have built a dolly. I keep mine in the shop and have limited floor space, so putting it all the way down is the most flat it can be. I can walk over the frame and even step over the down riggers. The problem I see with blocks is that as you go to put it on or off, you want a solid, flat, level surface. You have to manipulate the controls to get everything lined up and if a block moves when the hydraulics relax, you have a challenge on your hands. What I have found helpful is marking the floor where the tractor is when I take it off. Once disconnected, the backhoe relaxes in ways you don’t expect. Once it has been on and off a few times, the tolerances are easier to deal with. I’m curious to see what you do. If you haven’t yet and you go on Facebook, check out Kioti Tractors only page. You can search it and there is a lot of good information and BS of course. Peace brother!🇺🇸🚜😎
