Dali DIY Hello, I've tried using kitchen foil before, and it just doesn't work. It's especially frustrating when the foil eventually begins to peel off of the surface. Most craft glues aren't designed to tick to metal for very long, especially nonstick aluminum foil. I wouldn't suggest foil. I would totally go with chrome paint. If the reason for that idea was to create sort of a smooth outer layer, I would rather suggest using paperclay and covering the rough areas (or even the whole thing), and sanding it. This eliminates the need of an outer layer to make up for even the most subtle imperfections. That's what I do: Clay-sand-clay-sand. It's tedious but it looks AMAZING once finished. And if you don't want to do that, then there's actually a product out there called "Plasti-dip spray", which is like a spray-rubber/plastic that gives a smooth layer of material on top of any surface. I haven't tried this yet, but it actually looks promising. I've already ordered a can. If you try this out then you should first test it out on a small piece of cardboard before doing it to the entire piece. But yeah I wouldn't reccomend foil. It sounds like a great idea in thought, since it might give it a metal look. But in reality it wouldn't end well.

Joe Di Donato Lol I literally just recommended plastidip to him a second ago. I figured that the reason for the foil idea was to create a smooth outer layer in order to eliminate imperfections of the rough cardboard, but I think plastidip would be better for that, from what I've heard. I guess great minds think alike :)
