I really enjoy Arnel much more than I did Steve Perry. Steve was phenomenal however this kid wants it bad and it shows! His heart shines through, his voice is tremendously strong, it’s so unique and beautiful I love his soul. What a damn talent.Arnel we love you

Yeah america only got used to the goofy style singing of steve, like he was no longer serious into their music always kidding around to finish every concerts. Just relying on his fame thinking journey band was only famous because of him.

@@zoedelacruz1887 that includes me from the new generation. Truly humility works! I bought a bluray of Journey’s Live from Manila and watched it yesterday with my parents who are hardcore Perry fans. They noticed that there are a lot of new songs and they are glad that Arnel was able to showcase his talent. Then when Arnel was singing their all-time favorites, they said OMG he sounds like Perry! They enjoyed it! Now they are going with me to Journey’s concert on 3/31 SF lol 😂😂😂

A band wins the FLIPPING LOTTERY...Years later, they will forget how close to ruin they were, and who pulled them out of that, so beautifully. THE BOY CAN SING, PERFORM. HE'S, FRANKLY, HOT. As a song once said, "you got lucky, babe, when you found me"....a little appreciation, here, would have been nice...HE SAVED YOUR MUSICAL ASSES...humbly. What more is there to say..???

It's Sept 2022 and back here listening with Arnel Pineda with his most favourite band Journey. I can't believe Pineda has been really good performer and singer even at a young age. I stumbled upon a video titled Rock Medley - Arnel Pineda with AMO (Pinoy Woodstock - Amoranto Stadium 1989). The video didn't show his face much, but what an incredible singer and performer even at a young age. I heard his name before but didn't took any notice. It's only in couple of years when he joined Journey I got to enjoy their many concerts even just on video clips. He is awesome. I am gutted I didn't see their concerts in Europe in late 2009? I could never get tired hearing him sing. The previous Journey front men were all good, but nothing compared to Arnel Pineda, endurance wise. Hope the group remains for a long time, they all get along well and have good chemistry.

@@rosefrias8115 there is really a perfect time for everything, when AP was in his early 30's SP was still on top! Very timely, the Journey has been inactive for nearly 10 yrs and no lead vocalist then, so Neal Schon decided to search someone who can sing a tenor voice with soul/emotions via KZfaq, and there he found AP video clips singing/perform live w the Zoo Band, he admitted that he watched all the music videos of AP, first the Survivor cover, etc, and when he saw AP singing Faithfully, Open Arms, it was a big revelation to him that AP has a tremendous "pipes" to be able to sing those songs. It's just so sad to think, with that singing prowess that AP has, he was not recognized in the Phils. for 25 long years! until from a diff outside world so many miles away from the Phils saw him and the rest is history!

Steve Perry was great, but I think Journey is now better than before. To add Arnel and the story he has about his Journey getting to where he is at now, with his incredible voice and even sounding like Steve Perry is amazing !

Those fans who still stick to Steve Perry, he is indeed a legend but we have to move on. He decided to leave Journey and paralyzed them for 10 years. No one is indespensible, any person can be replaced. It is destiny that brought Arnel with Journey, let's respect that. The song, after all these years, is a great song and my favorite. CONGRATULATIONS TO JOURNEY!

I must have seen this video countless times-- ( from Part 1 up to Part 6 )n Never get tired watching it.! The journey band is lucky to have found /recruited AP---AP got the amazing voice, the young looks ( he loos like 20 years younger ! ), high energy, and a great stage presence !! I keep on repeating all these journey concerts either by Steve Perry or Arnel Pineda, I'm a filipino and I admire all of them, I really like Journey band and their songs.

There's only one SP and so does AP. AP's voice is creepy, sounds like SP, love it. But I see no SP, but all AP. Both Singers are GREAT!

Durable AP..SP left Journey and revived his singing career but can belt his old form...AP is more energetic as performer than SP
