Towards the end when Mike Conway's 24 hit the fence how Ironic he would mention Dan's accident Because we all know that in october of the next year Dan left us in the last race in Las Vegas. Though then we had no idea at this time.. It was good to see some of the old faces running again Dario, Dan, Tag, and some of the rest of the boys.. I enjoyed watching.. thanks fellas..

First race I ever watched! Tuned into the Coca Cola 600 later that day as well and I've been hooked on motorsports ever since!

I did the same thing in 1972 when Mark Donahue won Penske's first Indy, and I've been in love with the race ever since.

My friend and I were sitting right above that Conway crash! I was looking towards the finish line so I didn't see what was coming, until those pieces flew right below where we were seated. The only thing left of his car was him sitting inside that safety cage. My friend turned away and said he felt something hit his back.

Roar For The Lion it could be worse. They could have a bunch of ball sports gimmicks like NASCAR does. I’m thankful that IndyCar isn’t trying to do what NASCAR has done to make themselves worse

At 28 minutes into the video they are at 17 laps and then they go to commercial. They come back and at 29 minutes they are at lap 79. Something is wrong with the upload... or ESPN?

That top scrolling bar showing the starting line up literally gave me nausea, not very smooth or high quality. Overall the production values of this seem really low? (I normally only watch Formula 1, so I'm used to something quite different). Just generally badly presented information and a huge lack of overlays, etc.

@@EvilTactician It's the 94th running, so it's from 2010 The first Indy 500 was in 1911 btw. During WW2 it had to pause that's why the 100th Indy 500 was in 2016

Ok, so I heard the indy500 was the best race of indy cars.... They're only going in a circle for 2 hours. Wouldn't speedway or whatever it's called be more interesting to watch?

ickerolig 200+ mph , constantly on the limit from lap 1 to chequered flag , cars within touching distance around you and one mistake you hit a wall. Nothing is boring about that. It’s awesome.

*oval - a geometric circle doesn't have straights. And the Indy 500 is considered to be a Speedway.
