As I understand it, The Sigineer is a Low Frequency (Transformer Based, why it's so much heavier) and its ability to handle surges will be way better. The Reliable brand is a High Frequency (Mosfets, not Transformer based so will always be more efficient at idle and lighter weight). I am also surprised about the idle draw on the Signeer, they claim a lower amount. The standby mode waits for a load, then pulls the full amount. If you are using the inverter wired to your house with a constant draw, you would not be able to use the standby mode. Thanks for the review!

has the toroidal transformer? Those with the toroidal transformer are more efficient and for me they are the best, they are sturdy reliable and they are not picky with the difficult electrical loads !
