96 Inch Clearing Grading Blade in Action

We make the heaviest 3 point hitch box blade on the market. We took one of the smaller clearing grading blades we make (8 feet wide) into the field and started clearing grass at first to show how long it takes to pull through grass that has been growing for 50+ years. Our box blade performed like a champ, and had us moving dirt after about 20 minutes. Our High Horsepower Clearing Grading box blade is available in up to a 10 foot width with optional 8 inch tall Viper blades from Valk manufacturing. All sizes of this box blade are category II & III compatible.

I remember when we had to pull these box blades by hand, with only a length of dental floss... and yes, it was UPHILL both ways.... you kids have it way too easy with those new fangled tractors.

Just love this stuff. I've watched this video at least 6 times. I don't have a tractor nearly the size of the New Holland but it surely was exhilarating to watch her rip and then smooth out the dirt. Nice work.

I believe our 98hp tractor has a 4600 3-Point lift rating. Running low HP on this box scraping and carrying gravel is where it would get heavy.

Amazing box blade, I did have the extreme 72 land rake and united 72hd box blade that I purchase from you. I had to sell my 4320 and the gentleman wanted both of them as well.

Hey Ted never really thought about it before looks to me like you could use a box blade to make a garden. Might not be ideal but if it's what you have.

All the years I spent growing up and even today working around on a small family ranch, it makes me wonder if a tool like this would have been better overall instead of the three grader blades we had, all three of which were destroyed over time mostly because we had cat one stuff hooked up to cat two tractors. I knew that was a mistake and sure enough they were all destroyed no matter how careful we were with them.

If I was makin a road in that thick sod, I would probably use the front bucket with a tooth bar to get rid of the sod in a nice pile or load the truck,than use the box blade. No mixing organic matter with road bed....Less fuel less work.....Done!

Or save the work of loading use a 4 bottom breaking plow and disc or rotavator..4 passes, nice and easy. Sit back, have a beer and watch everyone else do 100 mph with a 1/2 million $$ worth of equipment..

Very cool. I've got an area like this I'd like to level but I've only got a Kubota B2620. I can't imagine I'd ever be able to do this with the correct sized box blade for my tractor

Would one be able to do this with a 35 hp tractor and a 5 foot box blade or do you need 100hp and the huge extra weight of the big box blade in the video?

+ManitobaScott You can make trails and roads with smaller tractors as long as you don’t have large stumps or trees to deal with. Obviously, it will take longer. I recommend using a good, heavy duty box blade like this: www.everythingattachments.com/Utility-Tractor-Box-Blade-p/eta-xdbb-30-70.htm

I think the tractor done a fine job. only thing I seen was you could have been in low range trying to rough up ground.

tn55 with a 5 foot box with a hydraulic arm on it would had this done much faster buddy... I am impressed with the shear size of that box tho.

I am not sure if I should be purchasing a grading scraper or a box blade. What is the difference? Thanks in advance.

A grading scraper is otherwise known as a land plane/land leveler. It is the best, easiest, most efficient tool for road, driveway and parking lot maintenance. When you get it set to produce desired results, all you do is drive forward and it does all of the work for you. A box blade, which is great for more serious grading and moving material, is capable of the same thing, but requires more input from the operator to produce somewhat similar results. A grader would have done the work much faster. A 25 horse tractor could utilize a 5 foot grader and still worked circles around that 8’ box .

Seems like a disc harrow or rototiller would be more efficient at tearing up the soil.. That just seems very inefficient. Sorry bug fan of EA,,, but...

Hhmm the box blade looks almost too big for the tractor i am thinking to buy. LS xp 8101CPS at 101.6 gross hp with wide stance on 18.4x34 inch rear tires for 100” width. Hitch can lift 8300lbs but seems weight would lug it a bit more than it did to yours in this video to . Do you have a 96 box blade with lower power requirements?

Thanks for watching! Peanut was actually on site, but Ted chose to pilot the tractor for this video. Cold AC on a sweltering hot day may or may not have been a factor. haha

You knew that tractor was underpowered,but you used it anyway just to cut corners.This proves to me that you can't be trusted to build a quality product.Where else do you skimp?
