thats why race cars run open headers, huh? I've run open headers for thousands of miles and nothing has happened. Gain some knowledge before you go talking out of your ass.

Ive not seen any well built racecar ever run open headers.. Side exits yes, open headers no. Google it dumbass no backpressure = loss if bottom end torque its science. And with open headers the exhaust system cools rapidly compared to a full exhaust system which the valves arent built for and they may warp. Maybe you should gain some knowledge?

Go to any drag strip anywhere in the country. ANYWHERE. 95% of the cars there will be running open headers. Look at NHRA pro stock, top fuel, funny car, or any class for that matter. And why? Less restriction = more power. The only time you would need to worry about "warping" or floating a valve is when you have no manifold or header at all. As long as the exhaust is being drawn away from the engine by at least a foot or more there is no worry of either of those. And the exhaust system cools rapidly? The fuck are you coming at me about gaining knowledge, theres 500 degrees of fire coming out of them. The only time you will ever need back pressure or low end torque is when you're running an oversized turbo on a JDM turd that actually needs it to make more than 200 whp. Low end torque is for people that don't know how to drive like a man.
