Great video, Steve. End product looks really nice! Glad the eye wasn’t too bad off; hope it’s fully recovered now m. Great safety tip/reminder for everyone. Amazing how that stuff finds its way around safety glasses.

This is really helpful. I've had the same replacement part sitting in my garage - but I was not too sure if I could do it with a grinding wheel. Next weekend is going to be a bunch of fun!

@@richardalvarado4334 Still undecided about the spare. My tire isn't a matching tire or wheel so I don't really want to spend the money on those. Tire cover???? I have seen the MOR-Ryde hinges. They look great. I replace one hinge pin in my OEM ones and seem to be doing great. I have some things coming up for JJ Yes. I am actively looking for another jeep build. My brother just purchased a 2015 mustang that I will have to help him build. I know it's not a jeep but he asked me to document it for him. So I will put the videos here. Thanks Richard!

Had to go back and find this Video. Going to do the same repair but pass side on mine. After I get done replacing the transmission Skid plate Nutserts when they get in. Rebuild my front driveshaft, replaced the transmission mount. New fluids in the trans and transfer case. Not looking forward to doing this job. But will for sure have my face shield on.

I got a piece of rust stuck deep in my eye when I was grinding. They had to dig it out with a needle. Terrifying to see them coming at your eye with a needle. Anyway, nice TJ. Mine is must rustier then yours. Have a lot of patching to do this summer. That whole corner is rotting away

Great video Steve! Can I do this repair without removing the 3 body bolts on the other side of the Jeep? Those three are stuck. I can get all the rest out.
@ForceBuilt
@ForceBuilt 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kevin! Honestly I don't know. I think that might work though. I didn't try to do it without loosening those bolts. I would think you should be able to flex the mounts enough to get in there. I would suggest trying that before you purchase a repair patch. Good luck and let me know how it goes. That will be helpful info here for someone else. Thanks!

@ForceBuilt

Wire welding is easy. I just got some scraps of metal and put them together. Try it out. You can get it figured out. A grinder does wonders to make rough welds look better also. Good luck

hi , can you give the info of what setting did you use on your welder and what flux did you used .?
@ForceBuilt

I don't remember. I actually measured the piece that I was welding and set the welder according to that. There are instructions on the inside of the lid of the welder. As for the wire, I used the stuff that came with it. When I run out, I will be buying Lincoln wire. Thanks!

Great work as usual! Kinda off this topic but what suspension are you running with the 32” tires? I looked back and only could find where you took the body lift off. I see some front spacers in random shots too but didn’t see any suspension videos. Thanks and keep up the great content!
@ForceBuilt
@ForceBuilt 3 жыл бұрын
Well everything is stock as far as I know. I put 3/4" spacers on top of the coils in the front only. I wondered if someone had changed the springs out. I have seen some TJ's that are way shorter than mine and that got me thinking that someone could have changed the springs. Another thing it could be is that it is only a 4cyl with a soft top. So less weight pressing on the springs. What are you thoughts on JJ's Height?
@myjeeptjbuild
@myjeeptjbuild 3 жыл бұрын
@@ForceBuilt I really like the way it sits but it does look higher than stock. Probably does have different springs. Mine is a 2.5L 5spd with 4:10 gears. I think 32” tires would be just right for me. Not too big to affect the power. Are those fender flares also bigger?
@ForceBuilt
@ForceBuilt 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the fender flares are bigger. Not sure what brand. I thought about putting stock ones back on.

I don't think so. Afraid it would get the inside too hot. If you were real careful I guess it would be possible. A plasma cutter would do a good job.
