That is definitely next on my list! My console looks terrible. Can I sand out scratches or will just look worse when painted?

That’s been a dodgy repair before you don’t put washers under the nut on tie rod ends, if you see a washer you know someone has tried to remove the play from the worn out joint before

Very nice! This is on my to do list. Having another cup holder and more storage would be sweet! Last weekend I replaced the wiper and turn stalks, Ignition lock, actuator, and switch. Changing the lock wafers to keep my original key looked intimidating but was easy.
Did you replace the center console lock? Mine will not pop up.
@ForceBuilt4 күн бұрын
No, I made this one work with my key. I made a video on it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fs2dlLh6lsm9fJc.html

I never cared for the khaki interior of my TJ so I painted my dash and door panels satin black using the SEM cleaning, adhesion promoter and color coat. The prep is not fun but you know better than most that good prep is the key. I am beyond satisfied with the result. It's remarkably resistant to scuffs and any scrapes are easily and seamlessly recovered.

9:09 How is ur phone just mounted like that? Also, I have a 99 tj sport, how do I know if I have the 15 or 19 gal tank? Some people said it has 19 but the pump only sends 15 or something. hm...
@ForceBuilt7 күн бұрын
I have a magnetic phone mount. The part # for the fuel tank is visible on the driver side of the Jeep. Type that # into Google and it will tell you. Thanks for watching!

@@ForceBuilt where in the driver side? in the door jamb? I have no stickers or anything there.
@ForceBuilt6 күн бұрын
@@rmat9023 On the fuel tank itself.
@rmat90236 күн бұрын
@@ForceBuilt oh, so i found the sticker it was at the side of the dash board. And it had the VIN, which apparently if u have a 98 or newer, there are sites that can give u the build sheet. With that said, it told me I have the 19, but in driving, when I get to the red section of the fuel indicator, I got almost to the E but when I gassed up it only took 13 gallons.
@ForceBuilt6 күн бұрын
@@rmat9023 My now 19 gallon when at the red point you mentioned, I can sometimes get 14 gallons in. So yours is right. No need to mod yours.

You swapped out that old tube and fin condenser for a nice parallel flow unit, looks really good on your truck. Is your AC still running nice and cold? I just did the same AC swap on my Gbody car.
@ForceBuilt7 күн бұрын
Everything is good. My compressor is noisier than I would like at low rpms. If the engine drops to 800rpm the compressor is loud. Is yours like that?
@bhwjrproductions7 күн бұрын
@@ForceBuilt I have a 5.3 LS truck engine with a new DENSO compressor thats mounted low on the passenger side like it fit in the truck. The engine idles at 500 rpm and I can’t even hear the compressor running. My dual exhaust and flowmasters aren’t the quietest either. I replaced every ac component and like you my ac seemed to have good pressures with less than the amount of 134a than I thought I needed.

We got it on Amazon. It is not a bolt right up conversion like I thought is was for our 91 truck. We had to make 2 brackets and modify the filler panel between the grill and the bumper. Here is where I talk about the grille more. Start at the 6 min mark, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hKmHoMxn0p20fnU.html

Does your Traverse automatically set the parking brakes, when car is in park and not running?
@ForceBuilt25 күн бұрын
Yes it does at times. I don't think it does every time. I do hear it when it does it. My wife always says, "why does it do that" lol. It is normal and nothing to worry about.
@dand397526 күн бұрын
Will I have to leave a reference to this video in my owner's manual. Can't think of any reason GM would have designed a system like this with such a convoluted procedure other than to try to prevent people from doing brake jobs on their own car at home, without a $10,000 scan tool.
@ForceBuilt25 күн бұрын
Yeah, I don't know why they just make it hard sometimes. I know they don't want us working on our own cars. It was hard for me to find this procedure. I'm surprised they don't make the procedure different for each GM automobile lol. Thanks for watching!
