I'd normally say look at the mirage performance forums. I dont kno why I can't view them but they hold a wealth of information. Heres a site for reference even tho links dont all wrk - archive.mirage-performance.com/tuning.html . Ultimately an intake filter can help. An Ebay header and downpipe as well as a cat back exhaust are a place to begin. The header in this video snapped the flex section on the downpipe within about six months but it was only $40-$70 Ebay stuff anyhow. I actually cut up an old 3000gt exhaust and welded it together to make a higher flowing exhaust out of it. If ur just beginning(which I assume because ur 16) I'd say stick with cheaper simpler upgrades and install yourself. You will learn a ton and help decide what path u want to travel next. No point in buying a $2000 exhaust on a car u may sell, wreck, or even engine swap in a few years. Pay attention to maintenance especially timing belt and water pump since these are interference motors. Best of luck in upgrading!!!!!!

I can only guess at the origin language being Spanish based. If I happen to be wrong I apologize. Frm what the translator says I think your inquiring about 2002 lancer 4g18 16 valve lash specifications? If so I don't readily have those available bt if I have the chance I'll look them up.

As far as I can find. If it is a sohc 16 valve it has specs as follows......cold engine: intake 0.09mm exhaust 0.17mm. Hot engine: intake 0.20mm exhaust 0.25mm.

I cant find the data sheet right now, but I'm pretty sure it's in Millimeters, which would need converted to inches if you're using standard system.
