THE PERFECT 4-2-3-1 | FM22 TACTICS
Creating perfect tactics in #FM22 can be a bit daunting, but in this Football Manager 2022 video, I breakdown how I created a PERFECT 4-2-3-1 in the hope it helps others to be able to create their "perfect" tactic from scratch. In the video, I showcase the results I got with Benfica, my method at looking at the squad and recognising it's strengths, creating the tactic and style of play including the use of DATA HUB, and lastly, we play a match to see how the tactic plays out in Football Manager 2022.

One of your best for me. Doing great with Feyenoord and with Buducnost in Serbia. Maybe look at van Gaals new tactic for the Dutch team? A 3-4-1-2 with WB’s so you could see it as a 5-2-1-2

Most of the OP tactics from the testing forums from FMBase FMarena or Knap tactic always play gegenpress or tiki taka, at first I thought this was also tiki taka, but after I observed it in 3D it was something different. And yeahh, through the AI board calls it Vertical tiki-taka. This is the first time I've found a good tactic with the V-Tiki taka style, and of course it's fun to watch.

Quality content bro. I can't get away from the diamond 442. Think it's more of flat track bully tactic but my strikers scored a combined 176 in a season and my SS scored 42! Two regens and Moukoko, they have won me everything 😂 Moukoko score 94 and 25 assist. 🤯

@@theproblem6369 A tweak to, I think, a Knapp tactic from FM21. IWB on attack, RPM, defensive wingers, shadow striker and 2 AF. Don't download so can't remember the name. Blue is in the title, blaz blue maybe 🤣 Used to be DLP and wingers on attack. IWB on support.

This worked wonders for me. I had a very up-and-down form on a very relaxed schedule, I wasn't sure as my team(Atletico Nacional) was much weaker than Benfica and the defence was like 2-3 stars with low form but as I've said it worked wonders. I defeated my main rivals 4-0 and exchanged many words with the rival manager before the game so it was extra rewarding.

I have wingers on attack and a shadow striker (4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1) but I haven’t decided yet the role of my striker. False nine seems to help in possession while advanced forward stretches the opponents defense. Which role of all striker roles would you recommend?

depends on your style of play. if youre playing a possession game, use a f9, otherwise go for an AF.

I am going to use this tactic on my Benfica save from now on and I wonder the answers to 2 questions if you'd reply: 1. What does structured team fluidity mean and how does it affect our play? 2. Isn't it wrong to place right-footed Rafa as an inverted winger on the right side? By the way, it's my first time downloading and using someone else's tactic.

1) structured means the team will attack less as a unit. meaning defenders will support the cms and attackers but less 2) unless the weak foot is fairly strong or higher, it has an effect

Hi RDF, great video :D Couple of questions: Why do you make your wingers sit narrower? What does this do to make you tactic work better? What would the wingers do differently if that instruction was off? Also you don't have attacking wing backs who stretch the play to make up for the narrow wingers - how come this works? Can't the opponent just defend the center of the pitch? :D

Hello there mate, Actually I love using the 'sit narrower' instruction to the wingers, because it makes the team more compact defensively and the players will tend to search more the ball during the build-up play. However that depends on whatever you're trying to do. When I'm using a Pep tactic, I use 'sit narrower' in my wing backs and 'stay wider' to my wingers just to replicate better. Hope that aided you ;)

Make sure you set the player instructions before the team mentality. Keep it on balanced.
