I see you really know your stuff, I wondered why you weren't using the big tractor w the warm cab, understand now. 3 big areas plowed, w all the camera work, editing etc, just gotta say thanks again. I am really looking forward to seeing the cherry in your office. Nothing you do or have is anyone's business and you most certainly could be private. What you’ve got worked real good for the snow. Several years ago I got the chance to buy a 7’ HD tilt and angle blade at an excellent price. That has worked so good for me. I also put a special cylinder in place of my top link controlled by a valve. It works very well. It works somewhat like a grader blade. Anyway we enjoyed the video. Thanks 👍👍👍❤️

Here in South Dakota I am equipped with a truck with a plow, a tractor with loader, and a side by side with a blade. We have a saying here " if ya don't like the weather wait 5minuets and it will change". It will be 47 degrees on Sunday for a high, and on Christmas Day a high of 17 degrees. Never mind the fact that we barely get 1 or 2 "plowable" snow events per year anymore, but I have a blower, a blade and a front end loader. However, I don't think any of those will work as it looks as if what I truly need now is a snow pusher. Wish we could see a few December snows like this once in a while here in NE Indiana.

3/4 ton pick up with an 8' Boss plow. Only way to go! I've used just about everything over the last 20 yrs. I'll take a heated truck w/ radio any day!

I live in North West NJ and I use a snowblower for our property. I don’t have as much property to clear as you but I just prefer to disperse the snow rather than to have big piles. I’d definitely have a blast using all the equipment you have though. Be safe and Happy Holidays

12" here in Wilcox, Pa, luckily it was light and fluffy. 2020 Polaris Ranger Northstar with heated cab made short work of clearing it.

I have plowed snow for almost 50 years since 71 we use six trucks with boss V plows four loaders three skid loader‘s with 12 foot pushers a Volvo with 14 foot pusher two salt trucks at yard another loader at the yard for loading salt We use approximately 600 tons of salt a winter If you use a rear blade for snow on gravel turn it backwards so when you’re going forward The curve is backwards then angle it and it will take the snow off the top and not remove any gravel

On my 95 hp massey 5455 ,cab-4x4, first I use the Lucknow 7ft 3 point hitch snow blower. Then on the front is a 10 ft snow pusher to get it close and clean.

From many years with various plow vehicles, sizing the plow or bucket to the weight and horsepower of the vehicle is most important. While i always like the tires completely behind the blade when its fully angled, too much bigger is too hard to push wet heavy snow. Great vid. I would love a tractor like that. The backhoe adds a lot of weight for traction.

I don’t have the need for either in Mississippi. But I really enjoyed the drone footage. And you always edit it very well.

We have the Kubota hydro plow. Works good. Downside is you need to take off the loader. Agreed with tires slipping, going to happen unless you run chains. Gotta love that hydro whine lol

Ariens 32" Snow Blower does it for me. One pass for all walkways, and one pass up/down the driveway, and we are good to go. Self propelled, heated handles and made in the USA!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 That thing saved my wife's back and our marriage!🤠

Mike, if we got.that much snow, Charleston would be completely shut down. In 1989, Hurricane Hugo hit here. On Dec 21st, we got.2.days of snow, around 16.inches. Folly Beach had 12 inches on the beach at the high tide line . People.at Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island were calling the talk radio stations wanting to know where the snow plows were!! Christmas day we.still had 1 inch of ice and 3 inches of snow on top of ice. The whole area was still shutdown about halfway to Columbia SC til 2 days after Christmas. We are Definitely not equipped for snow. In January 2, 2018 we got hit again with ice first, then about 4 inches of snow. Same deal, utter gridlock for about 3 days. Keep it up there. Most people.down here can't drive on dry roads in the summer, much less snow and ice. Stay safe and warm and keep the videos coming!!!

What's fun is when my wife, who grew up in the South, hears a few words from a stranger and will instantly ask where they are from. The best part is that they are no longer a stranger at that point. We got about 5" here in Syracuse but it was colder so it was easier to move with the snow blower.

I use my Polaris 4x4 with the a winch operated plow on my 1/2 mile gravel drive. Fast as heck, and works great. I angle the blade to push snow to the sides.

We got 2feet of snow here. I’m glad for my snowblower on a BX 1860. Works great.

Love that little pusher on the Kubota, but the side by side looks like more fun. I live in New England and have tried a full size truck, a jeep, a little truck, little tractor, big walk behind blower, and compact tractor for snow. My go to now and for the last 13 years has been by 30HP compact tractor with a hydro tilt blade in place of the bucket on the loader, with a 3 pt woods snowblower on the back. Most of the time I can plow or push snow where I want, stack it high with the loader plow, and blow off the windrows if they get to high or I want to move a lot further out. This last storm dumped 3' on us pretty fast, so I spent most of the time blowing backwards to move it vs plowing, but that is rare. I like v bar chains on the rears, even with 4WD, and I bolted grab loops on my loader to hold a shovel on the loader arms. I never leave without a tow rope or chain under the seat. I have a poor man's cab, (helmet and snowsuit) but it works and my visibility is max. I run an extra set of LED work lights front and rear for dark and so far I am really happy with this set up. I might go for a cab if I can find one with good 360 visibility. I really appreciate your videos Mike, they are super informative and I like 'tractor discussion', not always supper table talk appropriate for everyone. But nice to be always welcome on your channel. Mike, I have the rear snow blower on my BX23S. The blower on the rear and the loader in front works well for me. Just another option for folks to consider.

Good morning from NC! Just in from 6-mile walk with wife and her friend. Just above freezing here. Pretty day out. I was surprised by several things - that you hadn’t already set up your attachments the night before and left everything in the shed, that the trucks weren’t in the big building, and if the commenter was right that he saw it, that the power cord hadn’t been pulled off the drive. All that said, it’s a great video! Beautiful drone shot of the forest - that pine grove in particular was awesome. Great Picture in Picture too. Think about that for tree felling and log milling. I concur with your conclusions about when one or the other tool is better, and with you and others that I’d be in the cab if it was much colder! 😄 Have a good one y’all.

Snow plowing was my favorite pastime living in Maine grew up in the central part and my first truck 87 GMC 4x4 bought it at auction with a 8 foot Fisher plow now living in south Carolina sense 91 don't get snow here if we do get a inch oh lordy this town is crippled yuppers so thank you Mike for this video lots of memories 💗 God bless y'all Merry Christmas

Nice video Mike!! I have the BX23s and a UTV with a plow as well. For smaller snow falls, the UTV is the way to go if you have somewhere to push the snow. I was very surprised a couple years ago when I bought my UTV how easily it pushed the snow with a plow, and with the windshield it is much more comfortable than an open station tractor. I only need the BX23s if I want to pile the snow somewhere. I have a walk behind blower for those smaller areas as well. I live in Southern Ontario Canada, and we only got 3-4" of snow this time. We got lucky. There is a right tool for every type of job, but they all beat the heck out of shoveling. LOL!!

I bought a snow plow system for my CanAm Outlander Max, and that plow was used to clear my driveway only once,.. since then it's been 'safe & sound' tucked away in my garage. I have been using my Kioti CK20S for all snow clearing ever since, so there's my choice. ( now having a Cab on my tractor is a definite Plus! :)

Nice comparison job Mike. And to echo the chorus, great cinematography!! My crowded neighborhood has little place to pile snow so I have a 62" blower on the back of my Mahindra 2645 with a cab. Just worked on it to day to adjust the seat so I sit up a little higher. Funny how when this thing crawls up to the house, how many friends i get, but that's okay.

You certainly live in a beautiful area. My wife was just commenting yesterday about how she wished we lived in an area with seasons. Here on the Central CA Coast, we are in the middle of a drought. It hasn't rained for a long time. It's sunny most days, but the hills are all brown.

Nice job plowing. I have a Massey Ferguson subcompact. It's alright, but doesn't have a front end quick connect feature. Stuck with the bucket. You have a fantastic channel. Glad you are taking advantage of the nice property you have and doing the things you love to do.

One things for sure you got multiple was of plowing your snow!, I just leave the bucket on the bobcat cause on the hilly part I usually sprinkle a little sand on the drive for traction!. Its beginning to look a lot like christmas!. You guys have good day!

That's the perfect kind of snow to make a snowman with. Rolls right up. The weight of the backhoe on that Kubota gives it the kind of traction that is needed to push snow. I have always been amazed by how well a backhoe loader can move snow. It is because of the counterweight of the backhoe. Even though the pusher box is not technically a plow, it turns into one on a long driveway because only so much snow will stay in front of it. The rest spills over the sides, both sides.

Liked the wild turkey, my favorite hunting. She was diffently having a hard time in that snow. Curious why she was alone. Thanks for sharing. 🇺🇸

Barely enough snow here in central Ohio to get tractor out, but I did, lol. Tried pushing the snow with the bucket so as not to dig into the gravel too much. Pretty successful for the most part.

I dislike snow, but when you show it from the drone it’s absolutely beautiful. I still dislike it though. Well done! 😊👍

Hi Morgans. I use a Polaris 4 wheeler with a Glacier Plow and a Kubota B 3200 FEL with chains (when needed). This storm here in Perry County dumped a bit over 12 inches of heavy snow ( mashed potato consistency). We have about 1600 foot of driveway with about 200 foot rise from road to the house. The Polaris struggled and overheated trying to move it. I ended up putting the chains on the Kubota and 5 hours later it was cleaned up. Gotta have the right tool for the job! Today was maintenance day on the equipment. I agree Mike about the blower. In ten years we only had one 30 inch snow that a blower would have been handy. A plow for the Kubota might be nice to speed up the process but my Kubota didn't have a quick hitch so I just use the loader for now. Merry Christmas to all!

We only got 5" west of you. I plowed for years with a tractor when I was a kid with a rear blade on a White GT-1855 Garden Tractor and my dad finally made a front blade and was so much nicer. Traded it on a new 1025r a couple of years ago. I also have an ATV (07 Grizzly 700) and so much faster than a tractor for plowing snow. Have a Warn plow with their ProPivot for angle and very nice! Housing is known to crack if you don't keep bolts tight though. First thing I did was put loctite on the bolts when I got it and has been 3 years so far all good. You were spot on with your comments with a blade vs pusher. I may get rid of the ATV to free up space at some point and put a plow on the 1025r. Not sure.

I added some ski tips to my ATV plow on the bottom of the shoes. Helps it slide over the gravel better.

30” of snow here in central NY. Live in the woods and love my BX with a 50” blower. No where to push snow so it’s a blower hands down.

I finally got 14" of snow and put the kioti ck 4010 to the test, hla snow pusher, rear grader blade and tire chains on the calcium filled r4 tires. I was really impressed with the machine, the tire chains make the machine act like a whole different animal, another little trick I do is first, with the pusher on level ground, and the skids totally flat to the ground, mark your site level stick on the side of the fel with some tape so you can always return to that position, when plowing, I'll lower the fel into float position then pop it up a few hairs, this insures the pusher glides across the snow and doesnt dig in, works great on non paved surfaces.

I've been plowing for years....used em all.... Snow plows....snow pushers, skid steer mounted snow blowers.... Always fall back to my 9ft Fisher plow on my Ford F350. Best combination of effeciency and manuvuarbility. Plus I can spread salt/sand at same time. But I'm doing large/long driveways and small roadways....not small driveways.

I've used snow blower, plows, loaders and blades on tractors. My perfer set up would be a snow blower and back blade. But that's just what I'm used to. But a plow with a atv or side by side for smaller areas

Great timing on this video! We got about a foot of heavy wet snow in CT yesterday and used my BX with bucket to plow, ended up scooping/lifting/moving snow one bucket at a time! Was curious how a snow pusher would work better

Not that we get a lot of snow here on the southern edge of The Ozark Plateau , but what works for me is Rusty . Rusty is a 1982 model 317 John Deere yard tractor with a 48" power up/down blade on the front and a set of chains on the back wheels . I name my motorcycles too ... but not my chain saws .

Woke up this morning to find that our neighbor's son-n-law had plowed our driveway! I cut bobbie's grass all summer and her son-n-law plows our drive come winter. If we had received that piddly 7-8 inches you got, I would have dug out my sissy snowblower, but not when we received 30-38 inches here in Albany New York. God I miss New Orleans! Two snow days in seventeen years and then we only got about an inch, so the city fathers CLOSED THE CITY ..... LOL

This storm dropped about 2 feet here in Farmington, NH. I prefer my rear 6’ snow blower in conjunction with a 78 “ snow bucket on the front of my Kioti DK 50 Cab. My driveway is 500’ and my yard is large with outbuildings. I plowed for years with pickups with v-plows and standard plows and they are fast but I can manage snow banks and inventory much better with the tractor. We get quite a bit of snow some years.

Either machine is much better than a shovel!

Greg from northern Michigan. The best way to get rid of the snow is to move to Florida 😎. The second best way is with either a snow pusher setup like yours, or a front mounted snowblower setup like mine on my JD 3046R tractor with mid position pto drive. Great video ...

That's a nice amount of snow and hard to work with when it's that wet. I have a long drive way, about 900ft, and I have to use a sow blower. If there is a bank left by a plow it drifts in with any kind of wind at all. Like you our snow can come and go a little bit but it usually sticks around from Jan to Mar. About 5 years ago we had 14t from mid Jan to the end of March, It felt like I did nothing but clear snow for weeks. No snow to speak of here yet and just above freezing today.

No snow North central Minnesota but I am ready for it. That BX has a lot of power for its size. That's some heavy snow.
