Here is my list of indoor plants that I have grown successfully at home without dirt or soil. This method of growing plants indoor is in the form of semi-hydro with the use of clay pebbles or LECA.
Growing your houseplants will be much easier in this method and your plants will grow even faster than using soil.

I am writing this to share my experience after this video with leca. I transferred 15 plants from soil to leca, mostly foliage. One monstera had not been growing any leaf for one year and now I have three leaves after putting in leca. All the other plants are also doing much better than soil. Every week I can see new growth. Also it's light weight and no daily watering needed. I have come back to write this after two months.

Omgosh that’s so clever. I’m now exited to try this. I don’t like dirt in the house w cats and gnats and I tend to overwater or forget to. Using such simple methods w a beautiful outcome!

gnats is one of my big problem also in soil, so I did a lot of experiments and search for an alternative and this is the outcome using of clay pebbles ☺️

Thanks for the video. Good to know! I find that when I top my orchid pots with lecca (together with charcoal), the orchid plants do very well. They have strong stems, roots and leaves. They flower well too (with the aid of fertiliser).

Oh! I do what you did with the "pot" in which you had the Spath (Peace Lily)! I take transparent water bottles or large translucent takeout soup containers, tape a vertical "stripe" on one side, spray paint the rest, and remove the tape. That leaves a clear window through which I can monitor the water level and inspect the roots. Brilliant minds think alike! 🙂😆

That's a lot of leca. I too am facing issues with soil and so moved few of my plants to leca. Still figuring out technicality wrt stuff available locally. You have used both disposable plastic cups as well as nice glass jars. It seems you have made holes in the glass jar too.

Im also facing same issue using instant mix soil sold in nurseries, although they said it has comprehensive nutrients, the fact is 90 % of my aroids plant roots system are damaged as its not porous, and the sign is rusty leaves and small/slow growth, I converted to rice husk and it worked. I will try LECA for sure, just knew LECA after watched ur video, and found in e market, info that that my country is one of LECA producer :)

@@zye.... rice husk is the best! So porous and cheap, no wonder lots of nurseries in my country use it. I even did an experiment and compare it with Leca in my videos, and nothing can beat rice husk. No more root problems LoL

I noticed algae, white dust and that succulents at the end were beginning to show signs of trouble. You can see the green algae developing at the wayer line in one....That's not good. Some of the leaves in others were getting discoloration around the edges and on the tips. The tutorial is great, I just noticed the issues that could cause you to lose the cuttings. Love the ideas shown with the different one can use without going broke. I would disinfect the containers and the leca when using and NEVER throw the rinse water down the drain. Check this out online.

Hello, once again ur vid is awesome, my question ❓ is u started outvwith a plastic bottle putting holes in there, you filled it with leca & something that was white, could you explain wat the white stones are, & its purpose? Is there a possibility that you could talk a little bit as you create ur items as so we have a better of wat your using ???
