Great job. My worry always with this job is having a corroded bleed nipple shear off 😠 Absolute pain on the rare occasion it has happened.

Should do the clutch fluid at the same time.

In some countries on the mechanical check (similar to MOT) if the brake fluid is old then it is a failure point. They measure the moisture content.

years ago we used to do footbrake on ...open bleed nipple footbrake off ...lol

Us Brits just don't like car servicing, most seem to just wait until one or two faults appear and hope it doesn't cost more than one or two pints of larger to fix. 😣

Yep see a few bad ones. Most customers have to explain in very simple terms what it is and why need to charge it. But easy earner once got permission

Better than just changing the fluid in the master cylinder and calling it done. Worked somewhere before this was common place 😮

I used to do the same ,but then started using a moisture tester on cars that I knew the history of. Top tip, if fluid is visible/passing around the bleed nipple threads, is to have the bleed bottle higher so the fluid travels at least 12 inches vertically to give the air every chance of leaving the system. Actually came from Jaguar technical, cause if fluid can past the treads theirs nothing stop air being drawn in too. Ok, less n less cars being built now with hydraulically operated p/ steering, but this for me is a cheap basic quality oil thats very much neglected and has lead to some expensive repairs. That would be my No 1. Although u are professional many poor garages about, like u say not replacing cabin filters or doing b f changes. Once had someone call me to look at her Renault blower fan (previously serviced elsewhere) turns out it had burnt out the fan motor because the cabin filter was completely blocked, literally hadn’t been changed for years if at all.

We do pollen filters on every service and I’m still amazed at how blocked up they are meaning it’s never been changed or the air out there is very polluted plus I work in rural area and the mice love to nest in a nice warm heater housings

I would say make sure your bleed nipples are not siezed before you attempt this.
