@@alexanderfrankenberger1118 yes the downforce probably wouldn't balance between front and rear. I've seen somebody did it and said its actually unnoticeable on streets. You only feel it in track. But you can always add flicks or bigger diffuser to make it up. I just don't like the normal retractable wing.

At street legal speeds, the wing delete will not affect safety, however the wing will be going back on for track activities :)

@@yyzcurator797 street legal is as fast as the Car runs. But it's illegal to remove safety relevant parts of the car. TÜV is coming for you!

Rear suspension is tuned for a wing. This probably really messes with the handling if you where to use it on a track.

Not on a 911 type. Whatever downforce you lose in the corners can easily be compensated for with your throttle.

The look of this vs the Touring imo is a bit nicer, the rear ducktail is obviously much more prominent now, stunning.

Good job! All the hard work porsche did: CFD simulations, wind tunnel tests, fine tune of the suspension and weight distribution are gone.

My first thought was, "what are these morons doing"? Now that I watched till the end it actually looks very nice and clean compared to the GT3 touring. The ducktail has a nice little bit of extra flare as opposed to the touring consisting of a regular run of the mill rear diffuser like a base 992. Well done

There was a lot of testing that went into the development of that wing and I’m sure the performance of the car is affected by removing it. I guess if you are just driving around and like the wingless look better, it’s fine; however, if you plan to track the car (or do some spirited driving), I’d keep the wing. All in all, the car is beautiful and the color is stunning!

@@CaffeinatedDoggo I was joking. If you go only in town on streets with 50km/h (work,shopping, etc) and you like more this looks, why wouldnt delete the wing? In 30 minute you can put it back if you go on track once at 6 month... really... you guy driving Toyota and you tell a guy who has a GT3 what his car can do or do not.

Porsche advises against this I believe, but unless you haul ass on the Autobarn, who really cares. Just don't delete that beautiful green. I want to do my Cayman that colour.

Erm... What about the front splitter and the suspension setup? This car's downforce would be extremely unbalanced with the majority going to the front axis at high speed corners. Any irregularity in road surface, with the back dumpers being overly stiff and lacking traction, you're risking some MASSIVE uncontrollable lift-off oversteer.
