If they tried to apply the character's animation to the bosses directly, the differences between the skeletons for their models would make their skins go haywire. The mod is defo designed with some extra measures to make the grab attacks work.

I think one of the reasons Godfrey/Horah Loux is such an enigmatic figure in Elden ring is because he represents pure unadulterated strength and human determination compared to every other boss. He doesn't need spells or incantations, just his own body and strength, and with it, he can fell giants and slay gods. I think many of us wish we as humans could have such a fierce ability to affect the world around us and assert our will like he often does in these showings.

He's as over-powered creature as any other boss. Read Godrick's rune description, Godfrey is literally one of the first demigods. Earthshaker and Regal Roar, after which his body begins to envelope a corresponding aura, are the same type of abilities as spells and incantations. At least the way the Beasts, with whom Godfrey had a close relationship, similarly enhanced their body and shook the earth is explicitly labeled as a type of incantations in the game. What's there to talk about when even Godfrey's icon has the ability to raises charge attack power of sorceries, incantations, and skills. And that's not to mention such luxuries as the ability to be resurrected after death, as shown in the opening cinematic. If you're interested in the determination of an actual common human, then you should pay more attention to soldier of Godrick, lol

Chadfrey pulling Malenia out a Waterfoul dance and Out of a Scarlet Bloomshit and grabbing her by the neck while she was on the air was AMAZING. With a little better RNG he could have pulled another grab out of the Scarlett bullshit (he was close) a truly magnificent boss with zero bullshit. Of all the amazing fights in Elden Ring Godfrey/Gigachad is the one I enjoy the most by far.
