When push came to shove and both Demigods drew on the full power at their disposal, it ended with him rendered comatose by scarlet rot which he only *survived* due to his Great Rune, while the experience was so traumatic for Malenia she was asleep for (presumably) years. Nobody won, Shadow of the Erdtree confirms beyond any doubt that it was a stalemate. If it hadn't been, then Radahn would *already* be Elden Lord one way or another. Either: -He'd be dead by Malenia's hand and be reborn as Miquella's consort. -He'd have *actually* killed Malenia, taken her Great-rune and then roll over Morgot to claim the title of Elden Lord.

@@papanurgle8393 it was a stalemate but you have to consider the state radahn was in when he fought with malenia. Did everyone just forget the fact that mans was using his power to hold back literal stars and to ride his horse? no glazing, but when we fought him, he was no where close to full strength and we were given basically an army to fight (can re summon them when they die). So if it was a stalemate as said then he 100% beats malenia. I think people just dick ride malenia too much because she was the hardest boss that fromsoftware has ever discovered. Either way he's gotta be one of if not the coolest boss (aside from potentially miquella) designed with a cool ass lore.

And she still managed to kill them. The Scarlet Rot is OP.

true, if u look at the remebrances, hoarah loux does not have the lion on his back because he killed it when from spirit tried to became physical, meanwhile radahn does have still have miquella on his shoulders, and looks like a spirit. I dont think miyazaki did that casually.

Gaius is one of the coolest bosses they've ever done

Best part is that Gaius is kinda the older brother figure for both Radahn and Messmer. He's the oldest disciple of the Alabaster Lord that Radahn and someone named Gaea learned gravity magic from. He's also the leader of Messmer's Armies. Wished we had more time with him, like a cutscene or some dialogue.

It’s fitting because gaius and messmer are also some of his inspirations and liek older brother figures to him

Might be the stupidest think I’ve read today 😂 now it don’t feel like a dmc boss knock it off.

The 2nd phase is just pure stupidity on game design wise. Every time he swung his sword, a light rays follows up along with his combo. Making it impossible to dodge. They wanted to recreate Gael mechanic like how he attack with his cape and sword but fail horrendously. I find fighting Bayle to be more enjoyable compared to Radahn. Since his 2nd phase is just straight cancer.

However we get the remembrance of Lord Radahn and Miquella, probably to draw on power or to bring Radahn back to life, Miquella fused her essence with that of Radahn so as to control it. In fact the remembrance is actually the soul that is used for rebirth through the tree, so I think that Miquella died together with Radahn

Technically its a Miquella buffed Radahn making it beyond his prime. Promised Consort Radahn vs Malenia would probably be a more accurate version of their fight during the shattering.

@@-.Outlaw.-dlc bosses by default have so much more hp because of the new level up system the dlc has. Every player has so much damage in the dlc since their AR is boosted

I feel like bosses dont have more hp than base game completely (fire giant will likely still have the most HP in the game), its just that we essentially have a damage debuff on us that reduces our damage dealt, and scadutrees slowly reduce said debuff​@@dennismadrid5146

No, They did it by making him straight broken, bullshit, and unfair. Malenia is at least fair. Her life steal and waterfowl make up for her very squishy health. Waterfowl can easily be blocked or avoided. Most of Radahns shit is straight up luck and RNG. Also the Scadutree fragment shit is and was a horrible idea. Everybody hates it and finds it very annoying that they cant just play the game. They have to go out and find and collect all those little fucking fragments to at least stand a chance against the BS fights in the DLC. Stagger was a core factor during the base game. If a boss would attack relentlessly they would at least be able to be staggered easy like Malenia for example. The DLC is straight up broken because bosses and enemies attack rapidly and have almost infinite poise. They literally took away a major important gameplay mechanic from the base game to make the DLC just broken and bad.

@@songbird6414technically speaking Miquella is the one controlling Radahn in this fight. So really Miquella was the true boss. So in essence it makes sense that the only one surpassing Malenia both in lore and in game was well, the guy she never stopped talking about. This amped version of Radahn most definitely clears any of her forms.

@@sam-zk4wj The light magic that rains down from the sky to the ground after radahn's sword attack is Miquella's. Even radahn's speed is magically supported by Miquella. Phase 1 radahn without Miquella's magic support isn't that hard to deal with. I had an easy win against Phase 1 radahn the first time I fought him. Of course, from Phase 2 onwards, it was hell... It took me 12 hours to beat him, even with all the upgrades I could get... I actually had a much harder time against Malenia in Phase 1 before she was nerfed in the main game. Phase 2, where Malenia's true power is revealed, was literally a nightmare and took me 17 hours to defeat her... I fought each of them without any information. I completely disconnected myself from the internet to avoid spoilers. This resulted in me fighting them with no idea what weapons were best to use against them or what gear to bring. For me, Malenia before the nerf was even more of a nightmare.

Actually... Should make malenia phase 1 vs radahn phase 1 to be fair... Plus the radahan phase 1 probably not even radahn on his prime too since they using mohg vessel to revive him, either make him strong or weaker we dunno.. so if you want radahn prime, suppose to be him before he hold back the star while fighting malenia phase 1... Phase 2 of both of em actually not their prime since both of them been buff by other stuff.., radahn by miquella while malenia by outer rot god... Need to remember the scarlet rot is actually a curse for malenia from outer god and want to use malenia body as vessel for goddess of rot... She dont like using her bloom cuz its make her closer to the outer rot god
