So for today’s vlog, I thought I’d come visit my friend Wendy to see her impressive and extensive collection of dinnerware (worth around $10,000!)! And, of course, get a tip or two from her on how we can improve our table setting game at home, even without the expensive tableware or a complete set of dinnerware.

She seems very passionate to explains the depth of table setting and arrangements. Never knew table setting could be such a serious topic go over haha, but of course, I only have 4 friends, but this is good knowledge to have. Thank Wendy & Jamie.

I like that they talk about mixing high and low price points as well as mixing different styles to create one table scape. I know for me, my grandmother had a huge collection of dinnerware pieces, but over the years cups or saucers, bowls, even dinner plates would chip or break. Since dinnerware collections are very seasonal we couldn’t always find replacements, especially for some of the multi generational vintage settings. Being able to mix and match sets within a common theme is a great alternative to scouring the depths of the net for the missing pieces, while still maintaining a beautifully put together table. I also love that Wendy mentioned how price is not a reflection of style, so if we have a lower price point then the 10k table setting here (I know I sure do) we can still create something beautiful and stylish within our budget.

Rule of thumb: if you have a table that sits whatever number, buy at least 4-5 more pieces of the tableware (glasses, plates, etc) because pieces BREAK TOO and the long wait to replace it is so bad. Also, I believe in extensible tables. I have one that is custom made that can fit 4-12 diners. It’s the best investment we’ve made as we adore hosting

Guys, you don’t know why Wendy is skinny. Some people are built thin, until I was in my late 20s I could not gain weight due to digestive system issues even though I am a foodie and eat loads. If she does have any form of eating disorder, you guys commenting about her weight is only going to worsen her it. The video is about the dining set, focus on that. As someone who use to have random drunk girls (I’m a guy) ask me if I have cancer or anorexia, she doesn’t needs your comments.

Women are always “J” over someone who is thin. All women want to be thin and rich, you can never be too thin or too rich. Clothes always look better on a thin person.

@@miriamha970 I’d disagree with that statement. The beauty standard of the past 10 years pushes curves not thinness but if you go back to 2000s, it was all about being super thin. It just really depends on what the beauty standard of the era is. Either way, people just need leave people alone and focus on themselves instead. Beauty is extremely subjective

Dear Jamie, once your friend is ready to go on KZfaq, she must be ready to receive both compliments and criticism gracefully if not don't appear. How can you remove the bad comments and only leave the good ones? This is not being down to earth. Everyone has their freedom of speech in KZfaq as long as they do not use foul lingos..

*Its ok to accept last minute request to bring in extra guest as there is always this reason to prepare extra food and get ready foldable chair and disposable cutlery cos too many visitors in the house is always a blessing and its never too much cos it clearly shows that the homeowner is likeable*

I think it’s cultural. I definitely would not be happy with it. Today we had someone call in unexpected while all of us were busy but you then feel you need to stop to host. I think it’s rude to invite your self anywhere but then in other cultures it’s more the merrier. I wouldn’t really like to host a guest I am not expecting. It would make me uncomfortable.
