My main goal is to build my own home and I have gone to construction for some time. I watch luxury homes and I’m currently playing around and just drawing a bunch of blue prints of kitchen, bar room, living room, etc. also I have been drawing since I was 7 year old. At 10 I could draw a full face human with no problem because a tattoo artist taught me to draw better. I also helped my dad with building his house in Mexico. I just need to do the electric work. But I have friends who is in university that does that so I’m fine 😂👍. I’m just 19 but I will save every penny in my life to accomplish this goal.

@@Miraak0Konahrik Indeed, I studied architecture for several years including a couple of years at USC in the 80s. We all had drafting tables at our studio on campus. We even had this little store called The Atelier where students could buy art supplies. I subsequently got into photography because we learned to photograph our own models, and develop the film and prints ourselves using the in-house photo lab. I wonder if any of that is done anymore.

Malika Junaid is a Pakistani architect settled in USA after marriage with her husband of Pakistani origin. She is just not an architect but she founded and owns M.DesignsArchitects which has won countless awards and its clients are Google, Apple, thousands of large corporations. She and her husband are both very interested in technology and that reflects in her home and all projects I have been to many Hollywood mansions but none is so technologically advanced and innovative.

I got a laugh out of her saying "The style of the house is very minimalistic" but my goodness my hat is off to them for taking such giant design risks. The hinged massive glass wall that can open is unlike anything Ive ever seen. Im not a fan of having an open pool in a living space (humidity, chemicals breathed in, hazard) but the "touch of life" thing is just insane. Weird house!
@GlobalBlendHub

A lot of the mansions of the super rich people have indoor swimming pools. The cleaning technology has progressed quite a lot. If yachts can turn the poisonous seawater into drinkable without using chemicals, why can't the swimming pool water be recycled in a home on land where fresh water is not a scarcity. When someone spends millions, they think of all of all these scenarios in planning phase.

@Aşkim Just because it's modern does not make it Star Trek. Sure Star Trek may be put in the future but it has it's own theme. Look, style, lighting and sounds. Do the hallways make you feel like walking thru a star ship? Does the kitchen stove look like a replicator? Does it have any of the lighting and the consoles? Are the doors hatch doors that split open in the middle and close? If you still don't understand here's an example of a Star Trek apartment kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qNKiga6dmdSceH0.html If anything this house looks more like the Jetsons than Star Trek. Infact, that's what I'm going to call it. It's the Jetson house. The Jetson's do have those glass elevator tubes.

Sorry, she lost me when she said the elevator was like 'beam me up Star Track.' If she'd called it a turbolift, I'd be on board. And the dining room - that's not 'the Starship Enterprise,' but it *could* be Stellar Cartography. It also seems a bit cold to me in general, like the idea is not to have a cozy, livable home, but rather a home that looks cool on KZfaq or in an architectural magazine. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of privacy there. Also add the practicalities, mentioned elsewhere here -- birds, animals or dust getting in through the 'shuttle bay doors', maintaining a 60 foot indoor pool that's directly below the dining room, a dining room that is suspended in midair (what if a kid drops a sandwich?).... At the risk of being a bit of a pill, I also have to admit I have trouble enjoying seeing a house like this when so many people struggle with housing issues, poverty, etc. etc.

The vibe I got at the very end when she opened the door --- "I loved showing my house to you, now get out." LOL
@luckyapollo3572
@luckyapollo3572 5 жыл бұрын
@Barry Seymour If I'm being honest , All decent people wouldn't care if it was accurate to star trek or not... Secondly , If it seems cold that wont be your problem since it's their house and their family and I'm pretty sure It's commonly warm in California and I'm pretty sure they can afford interior heating around the house. Thirdly , It doesn't matter if birds get in or not since I'm pretty sure a wealthy family like that would have home butlers and cleaners to take care of that problem, the bit where a kid drops a sandwich , I don't think that would be most likely to happen since the radius of that circular dining room is very wide so the kid won't be throwing a sandwich of it since I've never done that in my life in my average home and I don't think wealthy parents who will be sending their children to strict disciplined private schools will be doing that. Lastly this bit actually shocked me since you have trouble enjoying seeing a house like that while people are in poverty and housing issues? These people worked harder than everyone else to get to that stage, the own woman designed the house herself! And don't bring the family down by bringing poverty , I do agree it's a shame that there if poverty but in modern days people are in poverty due to their decisions in life e.g. doing drugs. I have to admit I have trouble seeing people saying things which prevents other people enjoying there life by bringing in world issues, you don't even know what situation they could have been in and how hard they worked to get there , and you don't know that maybe they are funding/donating some sort of charity or anti poverty schemes, they could donate more in a year than your family makes in their entire life who knows .

And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. [Quran 93 : 4 ] Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if one offered it as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the disbelievers - they are the wrongdoers. The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy. [Quran 2 : 267 ]

People see extravagance and cry rich exploitation. Let's get this out of the way. Society is unfair. Now let's look at what we just saw. This house is a design exercise to promote the architect's skills. Artists and photographers have portfolios. They may not cost $10M to create. But a good artist could sell a couple hundred dollars worth of canvas and paint for thousands of dollars. I rarely hear people accuse artists of exploiting the working class. But the architect is exploiting the working class how? But creating her house to sell her wares to corporations and other wealthy people? Are the many people who supplied the materials and built the house being exploited or employed? Only they can tell you. Are her clients employing her or exploiting her? Only she can tell you. Society is unfair. Take some time out to just enjoy the modern art. Carry on exploiting the WSJ by watching their content for free that they created by exploiting their workers.
