i like much of the slate stuff but whats crazy is I STILL like waves la2a and 1176 and even the stock PRO Tools version better...A little more cleaner. that being said I recently got a tube mic for vox. mainly blues style singing. Had i KNown....I WOULDVE JUST GOTTEN a night job or something until i could buy a decent one. even something inexpensize like the CAD M9 sounds lovely and "detatches" the vox from the speakers like the space it creates and the way its SOOOO easy to get the vox to sit in the mix, be large but not over bearing....smh......

Haven’t used them but any quality mic works. Cuz in professional studios they use multiple mics from $1200-$10K+ mics cuz they have the gear etc.

yo man, so you showed off the UAD, Waves, Slate Neve, Tube Tech etc which is it you find closest to the hardware or better?

the UAD Neve the best one. the Tube Tech from softube/uad is close to the gear more so than slate and that's from trying the real one vs plugins whenever i do go to the studios in atl

@OfficialFatLip the company softube makes the tube tech plugin and it’s native . They licensed it to uad to make the uad one. Just go to the softube site

@@SKYJORDXN yeah I know mon, but they charge way more when on sale, UAD offers them at 34€ im waiting for K as I heard also with plugin alliance, just yesterday they panicked over this and put huge say for $40 every native UAD plugin.. which is cool for me. I buy my plugs....but there is control hub no as well busting the market into pieces...les and less people buying plugins and instead trying to sell them..I mean its cool and all to have the plugin with all the same tweable settings as to a IR type of control hub app that captures it bit im trying this control hub now and I tell you its very close if not identical to the hardware, not only is it great it at capturing you can save presets with own tubes, new tubes, etc so we going beyond... I is checking yo channel and love it bro, nice musical vibe.

Hey bro I reallly need some help . I record with a neuman tlm 103 , neve 1073 spx hardware pre amp , apollo twin x and a warm audio 2a compressor . Sometimes my vocals and my neve sounds thick and heavy the neve sound then sometimes the mic and the vocals sound very thin as if the hardware stop working . I compared my recordings to previous recordings on another day and theres definitely a difference in sound quality from day 1 to day 2 . Do you guys have an idea of whats wrong with my setup ? I even bought a new mogami $90 xlr cable

The wa2a is set to default im just passing the signal through the compressor to get that thick sound . Both output gain and gain reduction is at 12 oclock . The neve is set to taste of the day . But my vocals sound weird other days even at the same settings @@corderowashington7289
