Күн бұрынI installed a 50v cap bank to my Hydra XLX2 esc to help protect it from Ripple voltage.
The SMC Batteries are so powerful that I believe it's very important to protect them any way possible.
Especially when dealing with a 8s system.
This video just shows you how I installed it, following the Castle Creations instructions.

Once you sloder the cap pack coat the board with conformal coating and epoxy to waterproof the cap board

The cap pack is overkill, on the castle Esc, you should of ran it without and check the data before using Cap pack. if you see that the Ripple volts were over 10% then the pack would be warranted. ripple are generally ok between 5-10%

What is a cap packs do , and why do you need it ?

They store power between full throttle hits, it takes the stress off of the batteries and helps control Ripple voltage and amp draw spikes. Most esc's have caps. Adding them just helps the electric system, think of it as a cushion

Pulling almost 400 amps and virtually zero ripple no reason for the cap pack.
