A follow up to 2018’s The Team that Baseball Forgot, this sequel tells the personal stories of fans, former players, and the fan club. Highlights include the Browns progressive stance on integration, signing a one-armed outfielder, their doomed rivalry with the Cardinals, their wacky, rollercoaster management, the Streetcar World Series, and the players’ “regular guy-ness.”

Lloyd “Gimpy” Brown, My grandma’s brother, played on the 1933 Browns, being traded to the Browns from the Senators. Great History! Thank you so much!!

Starting in1940 my grandfather played for the Brownies for two years after being traded by the White Sox because they thought he was too old. Rip Radcliff, had his best season in his 10 year MLB career during this time. He has a .342 batting average and leads the league in hits with 200 at the age of 34...He gets traded to the Detroit Tigers the next year for $25,000 in cash but said he always liked playing for the fans in St Louis at Sportsman's Park..

I would love a Browns jacket, cap and jersey...the one with the BLOCK letters, brown on orange.

I'm a proud member of the Browns Fan Club, and I've never been anywhere near St. Louis. I'm a New Yorker. The Browns, then, attract all ages and all sections of the country. I was a year old when the Browns left St. Louis. Their underdog story is just so wonderful. I'm a Mets fan now. Well, there you go.Eddie Gaedel reminded me of the 1941 short story by James Thurber, "You Could Look It Up." I urge everyone to read it. There too, a midget was sent to bat. The ending turned out a bit differently from the Gaedel version. I won't give it away, though. You should read the story. I believe "You Could Look It Up" was the inspiration for Bill Veeck's use of Gaedel.

It would be nice if the Baltimore Orioles organisation were to wear a St Louis Browns throwback jersey during a throwback game.

I think it was a good thing the Orioles left the name and records and memories in St. Louis. The history of the Browns is preserved and not tainted by a move to another city. Baltimore fans would have loved it if Indianapolis had done the same with the Colts.

*Major League Baseball should force the Baltimore Orioles to acknowledge and incorporate the history of the St. Louis Browns into their history. It's the same team and franchise.*

And I am so positive that Rob Manfred actually cares about the history of the game, I think he would do it if it were treated like an extra inning game starting after the bottom of the ninth.

I am too young to have seen the Browns play but I still love them. I always play them in Strat-o-matic and love George Sisler and Urban Shocker. I wish they would of stuck with Willard Brown and that he wasn’t a Sunday player. That would’ve been wild.

The St Louis Browns actually came from Milwaukee. In 1901 they were called the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Saint Louis Browns became the Baltimore Orioles. But because of the Browns poor records and futility during their history, the Orioles do not want that attached to their legacy, that’s why they don’t have the 1944 Al pennant flag that the Browns won at Camden Yards. And there’s also mention of them throughout the ballpark. I wish there was still respect from Baseball that the Browns existed, had and still have fans, and how that 1944 pennant is still the most unlikely pennant win in MLB history. (Browns had the best regular season record in the American League that year, meaning they won the pennant, and came within two wins of winning the whole thing against the Cardinals).

Was that former major league pitcher Jim Rooker at 3:15 in the blue shirt? I’m intrigued by the Browns and their history. Obviously you had some very loyal fans in St. Louis. God Bless the St. Louis Browns Fan Club!!
