Christopher nails this question - "Which scene are you most proud of?" - when he describes his favorite scene with Inga as Lilly, which, to him, is the essence of the movie. “Spoiler alert: It’s when you tell Elliott that a song doesn’t exist on its own. You don’t exist if you don’t have anybody to sing to. To me that’s the essence of the movie. The film is first and foremost a music movie. And you’re the one teaching Elliott to have someone to sing to. And that’s important because if you don’t, no one can relate to it and making music doesn’t matter. And he doesn’t have anyone. Not until the moment he looks at her and decides to write it for her. I think that’s very special. And I just sit quietly throughout the entire scene. It’s just you doing a monologue.” Elliott does this in his first song, Hope This Song Is For You, but it powerfully culminates cinematically in the final scene and emotional song of the movie - "A Beautiful Life".

When I watched this film for the first time I didn’t know Elliot is a musician in real life too! So I told to myself: this is not possible to be so talented, nice and beautiful as one person! But it tourned out it is! So now I know exactly why “this one actor” doesn’t have a surname in the movie opening 😅 I love this film and the atmosphere and I’m going to a concert too! It’s a must do! ❤ brawo!

Congratulations! Very nice movie! You both are great actors! I really like the scruffy look on Elliott in the movie, with the beard! Maybe something for Christopher? ... Also in the movie. Who put the ship on fire? Was it the friend? ... It was a really heartbreaking moment, because it was the only thing Elliott, had from his parents. To be honest, I think a follow up movie would be great! There are many questions to answer! Who put the ship on fire. Is she really pregnant? Why did the singer suicide? Will Elliott continue singing, or sail the world?

I can't get enough of this movie .I watch it every day 3 or more times and I 😢 when my cable was interrupted because I transferred it to my new address. When he looks up at her at the end, OMG, I felt like it was a real thing and the song was written specifically for the situation, Inga looks so much like his wife it's weird to the point where it doesn't look like acting . I dispised Oliver 😡. GREAT MOVIE ❤
