Okay only watched the first 30 seconds but I'm still watching the whole video as I too am on Linux and want to learn more but OMG I AGREE WITH YOU SO MUCH, The KZfaqrs that say oh it's easy to switch is just NOT true. They give you a tour of Linux and only a taste of it such as Linux Mint and Ubuntu Linux which is fine I'm not saying showcase all Linux Distro's but at least point some out, don't just choose one and go oh yeah so this'll be the best for you, everyone is different. Also on top of that I've found that most KZfaqrs only say the Good and I rarely hear anything about the Bad such as the NVIDIA Drivers breaking here and there. Need to troubleshoot? Oh you'll have to go on countless forums that are most likely outdated :) Installing programs from a Software / Store App rather than what people are used to, opening and installing .msi files or .exe files. So yeah switching to Linux still has a long way to go however I duel-boot both Linux and Windows 11, Windows 11 is for the Anti-Cheat games that I simply can't get around on Linux, it's just too difficult / impossible and not worth the risk whatsoever. However I can safely say I've never had to boot up Windows 11 ever since it's installation. It's not been touched after install other than debloating and installing the necessary apps / games / game launchers :)

I have gta 5 from epic games, and heroic games launcher didn't quite make it work, but I managed to make it work with bottles! Bottles is great in my opinion, its easy to set up and it basically does the job for you.

Thank you so much, now i just need overwolf or native add on developers to support linux in my blizzard games and then i am good to ditch windows forever! This guide helped me a lot getting blizzard to work perfect :D

Apex legends didnt work well on steam without shader precaching. If i ran the directx 12 versions it was fine but i had performance hit Using shader precaching and waiting 30 min for to compile resulted in the best experience. i am on bazzite, i have nivida 1650ti card with amd ryzen 7 4800h.

All my games are on steam now so I don’t have to worry

Linux is still complex for a person who never used pc and bought a new one just to browse and game , in windows they can read the instructions and do everything in a click , but here so many commands, even i was having hard time doing sometimes, if i ask my sis she say scram to linux she don't even know complete use of windows yet so for common people linux won't work. Its a good os but its hard to use.

You might want to update the part where you use protonup-qt, now that protonplus is out and is better
