I absolutely love love loved this! Not everyone can afford to spend crazy amounts of money on a bullet journal. It's nice to see that you made it accessible for everyone! People can literally pick a notebook of some sort like this up at the Dollar Tree, along with their pen(s). To me, it's definitely not about the most expensive or greatest quality. Your descriptions and explanations were on point! It's so basic, yet thorough, and can get ANYONE started! I can also appreciate the no "frills" without stickers, doodles, etc. It's fine if people want to add that in later on, but again, this gets people started! Your bullet journal tutorial will most certainly help so many people focus on their tasks at hand. Very well done, thank you so much for sharing. Cheers! 😁👍🏻📖✍🏼

Thank you. You helped me understand the basics. Other videos I watched were discouraging and overwhelming because they mixed a lot of extra stuff with the basics and it only caused confusion. It was difficult to differentiate between what was needed to start journaling and what was their own twist on bullet journaling. Your video is very clear and straight to the point while explaining some extra stuff on the side without going overboard. Thank you man. You're good at teaching.

Great video for demonstrating you don't need a special notebook to start a bullet journal. Any simple notebook will do. I also like the emphasis on using what works for you and not trying to copy something someone else created just because it looked artful or fancy.

THANK YOOOOOUUU!!!!! This was the BEST intro into bullet journaling! Why? Because it basically follows Ryder Carroll's concept and takes you step-by-step through the process. Other people give an overview without the step-by-step. And others still, do their little tweaks, such as OMITTING the Future Log altogether if you can believe it! (How do they migrate BACK, without a Future Log!??) The BIGGEST frustration with OTHER videos is when people turn journaling into "scrapbooking"!! (Talk about being ADD!!!) I've passed this video/info on to one of my FEMALE friends! ;-)

Thanks Mark - first off great name :-) Not having to know how many pages you need is one of my favorite parts, because you don't ever really know. Glad this was helpful. I'm also here if you have any other questions.

Great video showing how to use the bullet journal method in a lined notebook! Also, for those who feel compelled to have weekly tasks in view you can do an allistair method for weekly tasks. I cannot handle daily pages because I have to see my life in a weekly view as I have many date specific things to do on my job. Daily pages are more for memory keeping.

I have been interested in bullet journalling but have been having a hard time finding a basic setup to get started. So many stickers and colors and schemes and I'm glad that works for people, but it was overwhelming for me. This setup you have makes me feel way more comfortable with journaling. Gonna give it a shot and will look forward to learning more about the process from your channel!

@@markyourpages Just started watching your channel. I'm not artistic, I'm a simple guy. Can't do all that fancy artistic stuff. Happy that I found your channel. Are mostly all your videos simple, easy, bullet journal setups? Just curious because just started bullet journaling. Was stressed out from watching other ppl's bullet journals and a million colors and lettering....

Nicely done video. I have tried BUJO off and on, and one of the things that always "broke my brain" were having collections interspersed throughout the journal instead of a separate section (as you would do with a binder with dividers etc etc). But I think the thing that you touch on (around 21:00) that is really important is the fact that you have to daily engage with and practice the bujo method. If you can build that habit then I think it works. And I think that Carroll talks about this some as well -- the idea of "reflecting upon your priorities" and thus figuring out what is truly important to you. Anyway, I think I will give it another try -- thanks for the inspiration. Oh and the other thing I really appreciate is the simple notebook no frills approach that you illustrated. Frankly I've seen enough illustrative, scrap bookie bujos to last me a lifetime. So this was refreshing... :-)

It's all about finding what works best for you. I've never seen anyone do it all exactly the same. And after you try it for so long, you start to find what works for you. I have to reminded myself often to just sit down and review for myself sometimes. It's all about building good habits.
