Been 3 years, but bros guide is still most relevant, well explained and elaborate guide out there. Just came back after a couple of years of hiatus and needed a refresher like this, thank you.

As someone who just returned to the game for the first time in like 15years I really appreciate these more in depth guides like this. So many others glaze over so much information that people not as well versed in the terms or mechanics of the game anymore, that it becomes easy to get lost or need to watch 10 different videos just to learn all that a video like this can accomplish in one go. So on behalf of myself and those like me, thank you so much for your hard and great work!

These guides are perfect for people like me. You always seem to anticipate the "Why"s that I might ask. A lot of guides skip over details because they mistakenly presume their audience is as knowledgeable and familiar as they are.

I just returned to the game a little over a week ago. first thing I did was quests, and more quests. I thought about doing the NMZ since a lot of people said it was good training but put it off. I still have some quests to do thanks to this guide but I am now closer to trying it out thank you for your guide.

This is the absolute best guide out there! That was amazing! thank you!

Some tips I gathered that helped me on my first run: - Wear prayer gear (Proselyte armor, Ardougne Cloak, Amulet of Glory, Neitiznot Helm, etc.) - Bring your hardest hitting weapon (I had the Abyssal Whip and Dragon Defender) - Bring an Ancient Mace. The special restores prayer points. When you get the Power Surge (yellow) upgrade: switch to this and use the special attack back to back, as soon as it recharges to full. This will refill your Prayer bar. - Bring like 3 Super Combat Combat Potions and fill the rest of your inventory with Prayer potions (including one Ancient Mace). Divine Combat Potions wear off quickly. - Choose bosses that only attack using Melee only (I skipped ones that needed special gear, had multiple forms, or used a special attack). - Once you spawn in, it'll take like 25 seconds for the mobs to spawn. This goes by quickly so turn on your Protect from Melee prayer soon after entering. - Ultimate Force powerup (white) = bad, don't pickup unless your current set of mobs is annoying (see: 4 x Treus Dayth). It kills everything on the map and you don't get points for it. - Treus Dayth is easy to kill but it takes forever. Soon after you hit it, it will fly far away in ghost form and you have to wait for it to come back. If you activate Zapper (purple), it will hit them without them flying away. I focus on other mobs when this happens so TD can take some consistent damage. - Only do Rumble mode, Custom, and Hard. - You can do it. I'm currently 7 prayer potions down and have 313k points.

I ran NMZ to get all my Melee stats to 99 using basically the same tactics outlined before ever finding this video, but I didn't realize the average value of the Herb boxes. Running the math real quick I found out that I've been just sitting on around 75m gp worth of NMZ points without realizing. Too bad there's a 15/day buy limit on the boxes so I'm about to make this money reaaaaaallllllllll slowwwwwwww

I miss your osrs content

So I'm not entirely sure why, but I tried both methods and I get significantly more points (nearly double) by doing the experience method with all 9 bosses suggested. I don't know why but the maximum points method just did not work at all for me but I still managed to get over 200k points/hour so good guide overall. Do make use of the powerups, the zappers especially shred through everything.

I would say don’t take your hp down to 1 if you are using overloads as you need 51 hp to use it. Sip overload first then go to 1 hp.

One important thing for points, which I rarely see mentioned: if Dream Mentor is on and Desert Treasure is off, all point totals are a lot smaller. I haven’t checked, but I *think* this is enough that, despite how good The Inadequacy is, you should turn off Dream Mentor if you don’t want Desert Treasure on. Edit: If you disable Song of the Elves for having a bunch of annoying bosses, and Great Brain Robbery for prayer drain, then the highest-point non-Dream Mentor boss is the Jungle Demon from MM1. I might be wrong because the formulas are complicated but I’m pretty sure Jungle Demon is worth more with Dream Mentor and Desert Treasure off than Inadequacy is worth with Desert Treasure off, because of this penalty.
