I don't know how they do it, but some of these Bluetooth speakers sound really good. I bought this little G-Project G-Boom 3. It's got these tiny 3 inch woofers and the whole thing is no bigger than a lunchbox, but it sounds great. This thing probably has better sound quality than every stereo I owned until I was like 35.

I've been researching omnidirectional speakers, I think Ohm Walsh is the cheapest I can find at like 2K each. Sucks I'm trying to find more affordable home theatre omni's. Hell I might try the outside garden omni speakers they are only $200. Any thoughts on omnidirectional speakers man? thanks

PLUS, LED lights don't just not attract bugs, they can also actively deter them, which is useful for outdoor applications! (You can'r tell I wrote about LED lighting for 5 years, can you?)

Randy ... just bought a Behringer uca 202 DAC for $9.99 shipped. I really think you should try this $10 Dac and tell us what you think. Is this $10 DAC as good as others costing hundreds??? I'm going to explore this more. I hope you pick one up.

I got one. Is this as good as my 100$+ dacs? Hell no. Is this a good dac for 10$? Hell yes. If you care about measurements so don't want the Prozor DAC, this one actually measures well too.

Looks cool! I bought the Block Rocker Plus off of Amazona and replaced the tweeter and woofer with slightly better drivers off of parts express and put a lifepo4 battery in it. She plays loud and clear for a modest sum.

It's interesting to see that sort of design these days. I've got some old Zenith (can't remember the model) that used the up-firing driver with a cone dispersion baffle, it's an OLD design . I pulled them off and stuffed Christmas lights in them. LG stole my mojo!

I have two older XBOOM speakers. The original pk’s I think the 5 and bigger 7. They sound very good for Bluetooth speakers however when I pair them up they are just two mono units which kinda sucks🤣

Looks like they have pinched some design cues from Duevel in terms of their omnidirectional system. Unfortunately, while I think Duevels look great, these look horrible, like an unfeasibly large camping lantern. And the LED lighting would drive me crazy. Doesn't mean they are bad, just not to my taste. My go to small portable Bluetooth speakers are the Ultimate Ears Boom series and for larger speakers, Morel Hogtaleres.

I've had an original UE Boom in the kitchen for about 5 years until my wife pinched it to carry it in her golf bag. She plays twice a week weather permitting and loves it using Spotify/ Pandora on the course. We replaced it with a second gen UE MegaBoom that uses the same tech ( omnidirectional sound ) as the LG that Randy is talking about here. They sound very good for less than a third of what LG is charging but they're also about a quarter of the size and that can be a huge difference.
