The fact that he was 27 when he was still struggling and he’s well off now gives the 28 year old me hope. Life can change and success can still come. I love a story of someone beginning a new life later in life other than the stories of people starting young getting successful. It brings a sense of hope to people in their 30’s that we aren’t too old to start anew

Steve Harvey is one man who never forgot where he came from and always gives back. Never met the man and probably never will but he is one great man!

What I love about Steve is how he remembers everyone! He remembers birthdays, anniversaries, everything. He’s such a good person!

These people helped pave a road for him to be the man that he is today. Respect to this couple and their generosity to that of a young man with nothing to his name. The epitome of good people.

It's crazy how money sometimes changes people but Steve has kept it real with those who helped him and believed in him when others wouldn't. I remember one time a dude I went to school with went homeless after graduation. We weren't friends just had 2 classes together. I hooked him up with a job and I would invite him for lunch, would let him borrow money for his bills and I never accepted the money back. I stopped hearing from him for almost 2 years he just stopped going to work. I searched for him on Facebook couldn't find him. He showed up to my job and the first thing he did was run up to me and gave me a hug. He thanked me for feeding him and giving him a start by getting him a job. He started his own business auto detailing and is making so much money. He had opened up his second shop and offered me a management management position at his new location. It's been 3 years working for him and to this day he buys me lunch every day and sometimes talks about the times I would buy him food. Btw he never had bills, he was homeless for a year and a half and was saving money from work and money I let him "borrow" so he could start his business.

When Steve broke and said "I love you man", that got me. When Richs voice cracked from choking back tears when he said "I love you too man"... consider me destroyed 😭😭😭 A great reunion, as heartfelt as they come. 💯

0:50 - 0:51 "I love you too man". Rich sounded like he was about to cry himself. People who are not your blood relatives can love you just as much as those who are related to you. Sometimes even more.

The fact that Steve Harvey is a public figure and is all over the place and they never tried to reach out just shows they did what they did out of the kindness in the heart and they did it with 0 expectations of anything in return. I hope they've stayed in contact and still talk, that's the truw definition of family right there. ❤

More than Steve I am impressed with this old couple who didn’t come to Steve as he was easy to find to cash in when he got rich. They did a good deed and never tried contacting him to make him feel obligated.

They were so genuine. They didnt even care about coming out. They just really wanted to wish him a happy birthday. And I bet it was good to see him where they believed he would be.

I'll never forget the family members that were supposed to help my parents and I get on our feet when we came here with nothing but a bag of clothes from Mexico and kicked us out and never never will I forget the 2 lady's that I didn't even know gave us a place to stay and helped us out. Mary Ann I'll forever be thankful where ever you are I was only 9 I'm 31 now a proud USA citizen

Of all the fake tv and reality shows that can never be genuine, we all know that Steve, while being brutally honest, can be a man of strong emotion. We all know he is true to the words that he says, he talks in a realistic and genuine setting.

A big man with a soft heart.

Sometimes blood doesn't mean family and family doesn't mean blood. Easy to see how much their help meant to Steve and how being successful he never forgot where he started. I’ve been admiring Steve Harvey for so many years. I look up to him like he’s my father. I’ve learned so much from him and I take all his teachings and apply them to my life. I do have a biological dad but, was absent almost all my life. Even with the trials he had in life he made and never forgot the people that helped him.
