Ah, the Dunt, what a lovely & picturesque river it is, we sure are blessed around these parts with our little rivers and streams. Ummm, Lady Jaclyn, I think I might just have to commandeer part of your sentence for a future title..."Winsome Village", I like that a lot! Keep the ideas coming 😉. It is OK, you don't have to describe your contentment for our walks as we know how much enjoyment you get from the walks, which is for me personally heartwarming 😊. And you are so right, every tour is different but the same also, probably because of a similar filming style but in a different location. I realise my style will not be for everyone but I am thrilled you enjoy it. Where's the mayhem? England is still 85% rural. We're literally surrounded by beauty. I don't live in a village - indeed a post-industrial northern town - but I have lovely canal and agricultural land walks just 20 mins walk from my doorstep, thatched cottages 5 minutes' walk from my house and deeper countryside of Cheshire or Lancashire just 20 minutes train journey away. Within 25 minutes' walk I know where to forage blackberries, sloes, elderflowers and berries, nettles, wild garlic, wild damsons etc. Further afield, I can be in the Peak District, the Lake District, North Wales, the Trough of Bowland, the Lancashire coast, etc within 2 hours.
