I was trying so hard to understand her interest in petting leeches, but I still do not get it. I would not pet a dog if I knew my family would not like it. The house belongs to a family and we are not the only one living there. She needs to learn how to consider and care for her family more. And I would never give away my blood to a leech. Who would know if it's clean or would not cause infection. I rather donate my blood for the good of other human being than leeches. I could not imagine having them on the table while eating my meal. Poor little Jaehyo was terrified when they mentioned making it suck him. Also a little analogy. In our family my siblings and I, we all want to raise a pet, preferably a puppy or a cat but we really just want a pet. I am an adult (although they aren't) and so technically we could bring one into our house if we wanted. But because we live in a family, its something that has to be discussed with them and they refused for many reasons. My dad works night shifts and has to sleep during the day. Imagine if we had a puppy that's barking away while he's trying to sleep, just because it's our interest and our parents "should be understanding of us". She's doing just that. I was trying to look at things from her perspective but once they relayed everything the physician told them I made a firm stance against her. Not only is she making her family uncomfortable but also putting them in harms way for her "babies".

having personal interests is fine (even if they are weird like this), but if it's effecting other people negatively, you need to take that into consideration aswell and be responsible :)
